Any snowboarding game using that technology would be VERY unrepresentative of snowboarding. You don't turn a snowboard simply by leaning your weight.
However, that IS how you turn a skateboard. I wouldn't mind seeing a downhill skateboarding game making use of this... but I don't think it'd work very well for a Tony Hawk type game.

It wouldn't be realistic, but it would be fun. Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam was a big lol. I think the whole racing thing is much better suited to snowboarding.

Just how Guitar Hero is just like real Guitar right? Although I know what you mean it's not like it wouldn't work.
I'm just waiting for it to surpass the 360 so I can write a kickass news story for Rithum =P

Guitar Hero is a simplified simulation of guitar playing. A simplified simulation of snowboarding would involve pivoting, not leaning. I don't think pivoting would work anyway, since it'd need to be a floating pivet to be effective, and the technology behind that would be too expensive to be reasonable for a gaming peripheral.

but still it would be fun, no matter if it's emulating a skateboard or a snowboard
