RE: Re: RE: A story creating game, if you will.

Alright, I think you guys are misunderstanding the "Theme/topic" thing. So I'll try to explain it better.

let's say for example, we have 3 people and we end up picking a theme. The theme is Moral Majority. Here's what I mean by interpreting it in any way you choose.

Person A - With a theme being "Moral Majority" I'll incorporate this into the story by making a certain club or group of people relating to a main charater or characters. This "Moral Majority" of the group is forcing the characters into a situation they don't want to be in. Manipulation, extortion, blackmail etc...

Person B - With a theme being "Moral Majority" I think i'll make something about someone committing a crime that the "Moral Majority" agrees is either borderline or very bad. The charater committing this crime will face many different situations in which other characters will tell him/her that the crime committed was something that "Society" or the "Moral Majority" would agree wasn't/was right.

Person C - With a theme being "Moral Majority" I think i'll use some higher government people as characters. They'll manipulate what "The Moral Majority" thinks is right with the country. Things will come up making these characters possibly change their ideals/morals to shape a new country/regime.

Now do you guys understand what i'm talking about? It's more of just thinking of an idea that somehow involves this "greater concept".

I hope that cleared it up. We need to pick some themes/topics guys! :P

"Why People Live Immorally" is my number one choice. The other you guys will have to word, but I'm sticking with wanting the second to relate to romance. I'm girly like that.

          I would like to edit.

BTW, this sounds sort of like the whole "exquisite corpse" thing, except you know what everyone else wrote.

Hmmm. How about "Human Desires That Conflict With Human Psyche." let me explain. The story is composed of the central character and several lesser characters in which the characters must choose to indulge in the desires of the world and face losing themselves in pleasure or try to stay on the straight and narrow and avoid falling into a pit of no return with thier lives.

OK, that seriously made no frickin sense at all.

Okay, but You're not supposed to explain WHY you want that topic Chrome.

Either Way, here's the topics/themes we have so far:

                "Why People Live Immorally"
"Human Desires that conflict with Human Psyche"

I'll add two to this list:

                "1959"
                and
                "Lost and Found"

So that brings the list to four themes, I would like at least ONE theme from everyone involved. You know how they work now, and you know not to explain to people how you want them used.

So we're waiting on Guido, Skika, psychic, and tokzic.

A few other pointers. Esupin, you can help me Edit. I'd still like one more editor if we could...

And Mal, you can definately get in on this if you want. I'll wait around one more day for the people who aren't responding that quickly. Tell us if you want in.

                REVISED LIST OF THEME/TOPICS:

                "WHY PEOPLE LIVE IMMORALLY"
"HUMAN DESIRES THAT CONFLICT WITH HUMAN PSYCHE"
                "1959"
                "LOST AND FOUND"

Start thinking of ideas involving these concepts people, writing will hopefully start soon!

uh... is it that hard to pick an abstract thing as a theme/topic guys? I didn't have any problem picking a year and something you hear about often....

You guys aren't stumped already, are you?

I used to always come to the CT forum, but now I'm caught up in the humor of the GB bin. Is there room for more?
I'm not incredible at writing, but I'm sure the editors can fix some of it
