The fair fact of the matter is that songs on Dance Page 4 just don't get played very much. LD wrote a script to measure the total number of times a song has been played. Down at the bottom of the list are Secret songs, Purchased songs, and songs on Dance Page 4. Secret and purchased can't be played by newbies and Dance Page 4 just doesn't get exposure.

    Case in point:
Get Down - Played 21942 times.
    Delirium - Played 20229 times.

Get Down has been around for a couple months. Delirium has been around for a couple weeks, but we threw it at the top of the list because we wanted to be all HOLY CRAP LOOK AT OUR AWESOME ITG MUSIC. (This is a completely off-the-record comment, of course.) It paid off - Delirium has gotten played WAY more than a bunch of other songs.

So really, we'll look for excuses to put a song in anything but Dance. I've never been a fan of that genre name anyway. Afrikaa Bambaata once said "All music is dance music," and I tend to agree with him.

      Another point:
      Domani - Played 4165 times.
Song For The Nihonjins - Played 4145 times.
Rondo Alla Turca V2 - Played 4081 times.
Noir Remixed - Played 2946 times.

Domani has been in the game for 3 days and already surpassed songs in the secret/purchased section.

Not bad. The stepfile was pretty good, but I wasn't a huge fan of the song.

This is 80 years away from Dance... the true genre isn't in FFR, and purchased and Secret have gotten their share of songs, so it was Misc's turn.
It's not dance. Break House, however, is dance. This is not break house. This is a poorly written gesture towards an abstract form of triphop with offkey vocals. =(

You can't simply compare Get Down with Delirium--it gives a skewed view. First of all, because Delirium is newer, of course people are going to play it more. The longer a song has been out, the less it will be played. I don't see what's out of place. Also, maybe people just prefer Delirium over Get down or whatever is on the fourth page (I, myself, find it considerably better).

Comparing Domani to purchased/secret songs is also ridiculous. Not only is Domani a new song, but it also doesn't require credits to play it. Of course it will be played more often.

If you are still utterly convinced that songs on page four get played less, you can always enable the up arrow on pg. 1 to go directly to 4.

Considering 90%+ of the active users have access to all secret songs, and 75%+ have access to all purchased songs, we can compare them. I takes less clicks to get to those secret/purchased songs than to get to domani.

Thanks those who appreciated the easyness of the stepfile.

Others. I'm surprised at your intolerance, especially Reach surprised me. I guarantee you there isn't an offsync note in the song, and if you even think something's offbeat you need to listen more closely. Now, I haven't played the FFR version, I don't if it messed something up, but I think C300 is messing with your heads. If you need me to prove a point just say the word and I'll send you the DWI.

I love this song, which is why I stepped it, and opposing one persons belief, I spent a combination of 14 hours likely playing and replaying and restepping this file over the course of 3 months or so. So yeah, I've gotten my fair share of the song, probably listened to it about 400 times, and I still love it. Good addition to FFR. (The song, if not the stepfile.)

                Love, Alain =)

The stepfile kicked ass and the song was especially awesome, especially towards the end with the solo part.

I will record MP3s of the assist ticks for anyone who thinks that songs are offbeat. Seriously, they're not.

Excellent song, had it stuck in my head for a few days, immediately downloaded it from his site. Also loved the VERY on-sync stepfile, and it was said before, a few yellow arrows were kinda hard to see. One of the best on FFR.

didnt want to start a new topic on something, but.. i have to say it, how is this not considered a rip from Queen or Vanilla Ice's "ice ice baby"........ it goes ba da dum da da dum dum..... back in the 90's Queen tried to sue Vanilla Ice for the song being stolen from them... and now we have ffr, who is very strict on stolen songs, supporting it without a side note?... good song though. lol.
