I was thinking the same thing earlier, but there's a chance they didn't block choof because his kill intentions post showed that he would probably be headed for a miskill and they wanted to use that opportunity. There's also the small chance that town has a role blocker and they blocked the wolf blocker blocking choof.

If there is a role blocker, why didn't they use it on Choof?
