Also I do understand full well why my mistake seems like a slip.

But again, I don't see a reason why the current wolves would need to do a fake claim right now. They could keep being conservative, it's doing pretty well result wise to be frank about it.

Honest, down-to-earth mistakes?

Honest down to earth mistake in forgetting I only get alignment back.

I was assuming it was like another role where you get their actual role. So think of it this way:

If the wolves know there are three confirmed town oriented players, but don't know their roles, and they see I am hiding them, they can assume a blue is in there. This gives them a list of three people to start going after when I thought for a fact I had got three plain townies. So I was trying to bait their nightkills after mine to looking there for a blue role that wasn't actually there as far as I knew.

Again, keep in mind I forgot that I was only getting alignment back, and assumed I was getting their roles.
