Nica's Dream - The Game
-----------------------
- Permissions, sync, metadata good.
- 1.817, 3.699, 5.582, etc: Ghost notes
- 3.817: Missing jump; see 3.582
- 6.523: Really long left hand trill here. Recommend breaking it up.
- 7.346-11.346: Layering here is inconsistent. You used to step the melody with some jump minijacks / anchors (see 5.935) but you stop doing this around here--7.817, 9.699 are the same type of thing, but are done as singles. One might think you switch it here to follow the new chiptune tones that come in around 7.346, but these too are inconsistently followed as jumps; if that's your approach, you're missing them at 7.582, 9.111, 9.346, etc. Pick an approach and stick with it.
- 11.346: Hands here are slightly spiky; I might recommend turning the first two into jumps because they aren't so different from 11.111, while leaving the two after that as hands because there's a much louder tone there.
- 12.052: Missing note
- 16.405: Why no jump when 17.582 is?
- 17.817, 25.346, etc.: More ghost notes
- 22.405: Should be a jump like 20.523
- 24.641: This sounds like it's descending, not a minijack
- 31.464: Missing jump
- 31.935: Sounds ascending, not a minijack
- 32.876: Ghost note
- 34.288: No reason for a minijack here
- 34.523: You get weirdly aggressive with the layering here. This jump is fine because of the melody, but why are you suddenly following things like 34.758, 35.111, 35.229 as jumps? You weren't doing this before--see 33.111.
- 35.111: Ascending, not minijack
- 35.935: Minijack is technically acceptable here, but it's strange to me to ignore the chiptune melody here
- 40.758, 42.641, etc.: These swingy triple jacks are spiky and awkward. I recommend moving the third note in each (i.e. the tighter jack) off the same column.
- 51.253: Feels much more appropriate for a swing minijack than 51.724 does--in fact, 51.724 should probably just be a [24] jump to match 51.346
- 54.523: Ghost note again.
- This is a good start for a first chart, and once fixed up it'll be quite fun--your minijack patterning is overall quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, the layering changes often and seemingly randomly, making the structure feel disjointed. The ghost notes are an issue too. It certainly plays fun, though; I can see this being a hit once it's fixed up. [5/10]
