Open Your Eyes 7.5***
2.724/3.371 I get a bit confused with why some kicks are singles, and why some are jumps. For instance, in this part, I initially thought it's only the kicks with some reverb to them. But then 2.983 doesn't seem to me like it should be a jump (and it has less force behind it than the string of 4s after it).
^ This pattern repeats, so please clarify; either jumping 2.724 (and repeats) or de-jumping 3.371 (and repeats) works imo.
8.543, 12.681 etc. - in general, not stepping hands to cymbal crashes in a chart like this is kind of a bold choice. I don't know if I'd do it myself necessarily (I personally think those sounds are too loud to just ignore when you have such heavy layering outside it), but I appreciate that what you're going for here.
17.595 on the other hand, jumps to vocals is a bold choice I'm 100% behind, especially for songs like these
23.025 this one definitely feels like a jump though?
33.371 I know I already brought up cymbal crashes but yeah - it's stuff like this that really lacks the oomph I'd expect; even a jump here over a single would be nice
63.629, etc.: while stuff like this is technically fine, I think the 22[12]222 (and mirror, for RH) transition is pretty uncomfortable for most people. I don't mind the split jumpjacks later on when you don't have to hit a quad in the middle, but these won't be the most liked pattern of all time if they go in-game as is
1.53.284, 1.54.060 missing jump to vocal?
1.53.762 missing drum
2.55.354 break the 2 anchor here since the drum doesn't continue through this 8th
***3.51.993 why
Chart is solid. I'm not the biggest fan of the latest series of charts that are basically [long song + long jack] but this one has a big leg up over them in that the jacks are far more consistently placed, and make good musical sense. I'd strongly recommend doing what I mentioned at 63.629 for the long jumpjacks that have quads in them, but that's not a CQ note.
***CQ on: The CQ is just on the last pattern at 3.51.993. The pattern at 3.43.718 was already kind of pushing it with layered 232bpm jumpstream with embedded minijacks at the end of a 4min chart that's maybe difficulty 70-73 even accounting for jacks - but at least that pattern flows reasonably well. This one at the very end with full on handstream creates a lot of minijacks that will likely frustrate players quite a bit, if 3.43.718 didn't already. Please tone this down to something more like 3.43.718 – e.g. just jumps on the pronounced percussion with maybe one hand at the end, and be careful of the minijacks.

- tbh, i'm not sure. The reverb inspired the section but i also have to continue the pattern at 8.543 where the reverb is gone. i think i just wanted more jacks in the section. i think if i remove the jumps at 2.983 and 7.121 and add jumps at 11.647-12.423 this works out better.
8.543, 12.681 etc. - in general, not stepping hands to cymbal crashes in a chart like this is kind of a bold choice. - Part intentional, part me just ignoring cymbals half the time. I've added notes for some of the major cymbals in the song, I've left out others that are either too weak, or dont match the flow of the chart.
33.371 I know I already brought up cymbal crashes but yeah - it's stuff like this that really lacks the oomph I'd expect; even a jump here over a single would be nice
- this is a piss ass weak cymbal.
63.629, etc.: while stuff like this is technically fine, I think the 22[12]222 (and mirror, for RH) tr I don't mind the split jumpjacks later on when you don't have to hit a quad in the middle, but these won't be the most liked pattern of all time if they go in-game as is
- This pattern happens a lot back to back. if i remove these patterns its just [12] and [34] jacks over an over again, which is boring and uninteresting.
1.53.284, 1.54.060 missing jump to vocal?
- I could add notes here, but it doesn't feel right. Its just shifts in the vocals instead of new words so i dont feel like it needs to have notes, and adding them messes with the flow of the build up in this section.
1.53.762 missing drum
- i cannot hear this drum at all. If it were there would think it would be more clear like 1:51.345 or 1:52.379
***3.51.993 why
- The final snare hits are hard. I'd be tempted to make them quads if it wasn't insanely stupid. Having them as anything less than a hand is simply unacceptable. I understand this is a spike at the very end of a 4 minute song, which is why i tried to make the pattern as easy as possible. Turns out thats very hard when dealing with hands. I also dont think the minijacks in the stream are the issue. they are the same speed as the long jacks used in the rest of the song so to consider them the issue is misleading. If it were just a stream with minijacks we wouldn't have this same issue. I think the real issue is the 121 343 patterns created by the hands, and the density of the notes. The way i see it my options are to leave the pattern as is, remove the 32nds from this pattern, turn it into a trill (lol), or to turn the stream into bursts skipping a note after each hand. For now I've gone with the last one.
