Flare 6.5**
20.570, 34.284 really don't think the minijack layering should overwrite the more dominant melody for PR here to be honest.
Especially considering how monotonous this intro is for hoow long it is as it is already
35.999 these 16ths are completely ghosted? I think you're trying to capture some kind of oscillation in the synth but iiiiii don't really think it's there
Starting 50.356, not stepping the crashes as jumps (or at least layered in as jumps) leads to this section feeling extremely empty. In addition, later on at 1.17.784 the hands feel extremely out of place because of the lack of layering buildup (see the note there)
50.570 don't see a musical reason for this to be a minijack at all with the next 4th honestly. two completely different sounds
50.999, etc. ^
53.570 ^
keeps happening
1.17.784 this ramp-up to hands out of nowhere is very out of place for how light the layering has been up to this point
these staccato kicks are softer than lots of the percussion (esepcially the crashes) you stepped as only singles earlier
Personally I'd be okay with stepping stuff like 1.23.142-1.23.463-1.23.764 as hands because there's melody + percussion, but for places like 1.19.764-1.20.034-1.20.356, these are better served as jumps imo (no foreground melody)
This section will also play a lot better if there were more jumps to the percussion crashes in the previous section.
1.26.463 missing 16th
1.33.230 ^
1.40.177 ^
1.48.320 should definitely capture the little lilt up here imo
1.52.570 Come to think of it, if you want, you could definitely acknowledge stuff like this in the quiet sections (here and previously) as you do in the main section at 1.11.356
1.55.499 these 12ths do a very questionable job of capturing the speeding up noise here. I'm not suggesting you go full ohyeahwooyeah on this, ofc, but the first set of notes is not even 12ths and those are slow enough to represent properly.
After that (once you hit 1.56.356), you can either generalize (fake) out to a reasonable denomination or just stop stepping them
As they are now the 12ths neither reflect the sound accurately nor express the speedup properly, they're just kind of there and ghosty
2.01.593 ghost
In the editor, this was kinda 6/10-worthy for the numerous notes pointed out, but then I actually playtested it and found it actually pretty fun, I quite like it. So please fix up according to the notes above and we're good to go
