Permission: xi is blanket permission.
TOKEN SONG REQUIREMENT: Get at least 1000 combo on Double Helix with a raw good count of no more than 60.
This song is xi's take on the fantastic perditus†paradisus by iconoclasm.
To judge: There's a segment in the middle of the song featuring a flute, which often consistently lags behind about a 64th from the normal beat. Certain sections of the flute (namely the trilly parts) are stepped accurately, while other sections are deliberately generalized to 16ths (such as at 95.07-96.55s) to avoid color overload and better overall gameplay.
To judge: I'm absolutely aware some patterns and segments of the file are quite mean.

- offset is good
- 42.371: sounds like this should still be the 24ths that you were following earlier...
- 45.134: ...as opposed to this instance, where your placed 32nds are actually correct
- 46.713: it continues to be 24ths running into this, but the 32nds actually feel fine since it’s an ascension (both in volume and pitch) into a triple for a crash cymbal, so most won’t think this is incorrect
- 46.910 to 59.542: interesting decision to deliberately ignore percussion throughout this section; song carries the intensity fine, but you might be afforded a bit more accenting for prominent percussion sounds on 24ths if you at least fill them in
- 1:12.618: might be a little tough to squeeze in there, but there’s a missing piano note on this 32nd, haha
- 1:22.634: piano starts playing 24ths here, until what appears to be 1:23.029, though the back half of it is a little difficult to tell apart from the larger accents
- 2:22.832: should be 24ths here
- 2:24.410: and here as well, both for the piano
- 2:33.292: holy fuck there’s the infamous bmah-spike, that is by-far the hardest thing in the file to execute -- the notes at 2:33.440 are extremely hard to pick up, but the execution difficulty absolutely lies in having to hit a [LDR] triple, forcing a very brief URU on the right hand at 304 BPM 16ths - there’s so much tension that nailing the 48ths for the glissando is that much tougher
- 2:37.431 to 2:50.062: copy-paste from earlier section; with the accenting that differs between the two sections and some of the drum filling, you can (and really should) be changing this up from the first section
- this is a great file overall; a little bit of cleanup and some differentiation in the repeat of the melody that accommodates for better accenting of the newer elements will make this file phenomenal; even with my grievances, this file absolutely deserves a good rating

42.371: sounds like this should still be the 24ths that you were following earlier...
- fixed

46.713: it continues to be 24ths running into this, but the 32nds actually feel fine since it’s an ascension (both in volume and pitch) into a triple for a crash cymbal, so most won’t think this is incorrect
- tried the "correct" 24ths and went back to my original steps, I think I'll stick with the 32nds for your reason

46.910 to 59.542: interesting decision to deliberately ignore percussion throughout this section; song carries the intensity fine, but you might be afforded a bit more accenting for prominent percussion sounds on 24ths if you at least fill them in
- the hi-hat stuff? If so, probably will ignore that as that may muddle the focus of the steps here

1:12.618: might be a little tough to squeeze in there, but there’s a missing piano note on this 32nd, haha
- haha not doing this

1:22.634: piano starts playing 24ths here, until what appears to be 1:23.029, though the back half of it is a little difficult to tell apart from the larger accents
- seems that the 48ths still hold as shown earlier. But you're right that 24ths do seem to start off here, so I did include that.

2:22.832: should be 24ths here
2:24.410: and here as well, both for the piano
- I totally missed these, wasn't even aware of another piano melody descending in 24ths, but at certain speeds, it's crystal clear. Added.

2:33.292: holy fuck there’s the infamous bmah-spike, that is by-far the hardest thing in the file to execute -- the notes at 2:33.440 are extremely hard to pick up, but the execution difficulty absolutely lies in having to hit a [LDR] triple, forcing a very brief URU on the right hand at 304 BPM 16ths - there’s so much tension that nailing the 48ths for the glissando is that much tougher
- Yeah, undoubtedly the hardest part to execute for sure. I'm trying to fiddle around with the patterning to see if I could make it reasonably easier to hit but I can't seem to figure out any other way. Leaving this as is but if you have suggestions please let me know.

2:37.431 to 2:50.062: copy-paste from earlier section; with the accenting that differs between the two sections and some of the drum filling, you can (and really should) be changing this up from the first section
- This is probably the part that I changed up the most. I wrongfully assumed this section would be identical, but sounds like the main melody is more prominent because the strings are playing it instead of just the piano - to accentuate this, I put hands on the main melody. Drum patterns didn't seem too much different, but I did remove a few 16th jumps to drums to try and make room for the aforementioned hands to the melody. Near the end of this section however, the drums are indeed different, with some 24ths, as well as some drums within the last 32nds. Added these, but it does get dense near the end.
