A file I originally submitted back in 2008 but it was rejected by jimerax and bluguerilla. I revived this file because the song really is quite fun and a cross between Ridge Racer and Pacman.
This file is not as technically sound as my more recent files. I've modernized it, yet retained some of the less technical aspects that was more prominent in my earlier days of stepping - this may include omission of a lot more sounds, generalizing jumps to certain sounds, and so on. The song plays well to this sort of generalization IMO, so that's why I've half modernized it, half left the file as it was more than a decade ago. The file is truly a collaboration between my current self and younger self.
- This file is a collaboration between multiple authors / stepauthors.

> Permission check good.
> Sync is slightly off (Syncs at -0.077 Music Offset, currently at -0.072). No changes necessary due to how framers are created, but highly suggested. All notes for this judgment will be based on this offset.

> ‘.dwi’ file found in submission folder contents. Suggest removing. Also, I read the .txt file. If this is from the days of Jimerax/Blu judging stuff, lmao. This is old. I’ll keep in mind while judging and see if anything crosses wires with stuff in the .txt file. Suggest removing if fixes are sent in, just to reduce database bloat w/ stuff that’s just copy-pasted in.

-[00:58.493] Let me take a wild guess, and say that past-you did a thing here. Same with 01:04.683.

-[01:29.251 & 01:29.348] Feel like the 16ths particularly in this section are much more pronounced vs the chorus that omitted them in favor of the louder, 16th cutoff that’s being mimicked here. Personally, think it would be a powerful statement structure-wise, to keep the 16th stream going until the [14] 4th at 01:29.832, but I respect the consistency happening here.

-[01:34.281] Pretty blatant missing 8th here imo.

-[01:41.439] Personal preference, would have included some color theory 4th here to grab attention of that guitar whammy.

-[02:37.152] This color control for this section is hot, and feels like I’m actually playing stuff not paralleled to 8ths.

-Unsure what the file looked like when it was rejected, but can definitely say it’s an improvement over the previous submission if it earned a 5.5.

Sync fixed.

[00:58.493]: yup, that was retained from 2008!

[01:29.251 & 01:29.348]: Actually...I got a new idea. I'm stepping the "sparkling" 24th sounds now, well some of it at least. There are more 24ths present but I'm only stepping them on select phrases, whereas other phrases with 24ths I'm omitting in favor of interesting 16ths going to the main melody. Check it out.

[01:34.281]: Oh I wasn't even focusing on those more minor (but obvious) 8th sounds...sure, let's add it.

[01:41.439]: Good point. A normal 4th would make for a more monotonous, continuous stream, but color theory would help break it up. Some aspects of this section of the song were retained from my old steps, so that's probably why the thought never even occurred to me. Hmm...I think in the end I'm going to skip this suggestion because the feeling of an arrow omission feels better than the visual representation of color theory.

[02:37.152]: Thank you! Actually the only thing I changed from my old file was the addition of hands instead of jumps in the emphasized areas.
