Maybe it's not worth trying anymore, but I don't have anything else to submit so here we are...

Between my last submission and this one I did some additional work on the file on the advice of basicdrummerman, addressing some issues with layering and overall playability. Hopefully those changes, in addition to fixing the more obvious missing notes and sync issues pointed out in the last round of judging, will be enough to get this accepted.

My intent was to create a quirky file with some unconventional patterning choices. I think it will make for a chart that people find fun and memorable, and the feedback I've gotten from several players seems to confirm this. Some people may find those choices odd or unclear, but I've become kind of attached to them and I'd rather not change my approach.

✔️ The stepauthor has acknowledged the judges notes.

✔️ This chart has been marked as final and shouldn't receive any more changes.

Cub Cub Lion Heart
------------------
Permission, sync, metadata good.

- 15.695-18.095: How come you're not following the 16ths like at 4.723-7.123?
- 24.541: It's not clear to me what this and the next two white notes go to.
- 52.522: If you're using a jumptrill for the melody at 52.895, why not a jump here too? Compare with the melody jump at 69.001--this is pretty much the same sound. Also missing at 74.486, 85.460, etc.
- 70.029: Why's this not coloured green? I can't hear anything here other than the chiptuney roll--there is some 12th percussion, but you're not following that. This running into the 8th anchor afterwards also feels a little weird since the sound is not shared.
- 83.832: Arguable missing note.
- 84.946: Higher than previous jump, suggest [34].
- 88.546: This might be a bit nicer on column 1 to reduce anchoring, it's a touch aggressive on column 2 at the moment.
- 90.775-91.918, 189.520-190.663: I don't think this sequence really works--it's 100% descending rolls (of different colours & quantizations), but the song is so much more varied than the chart would suggest. Either vary the patterning here or, my personal preference, just make 91.125 a jump instead of dumped notes--I also don't feel there's much backing the white notes up as an abstraction.
- 94.375, 99.860: Pretty sure this is a ghost note.
- 94.632, 100.118: But this is definitely a missing note.
- 113.517: Please either follow both syllables of the vocal or neither, this feels very incomplete.
- 137.060: Oh these could make some people pretty angry lol.
- 187.634: Watch anchor usage.
- 188.063: Jump?
- 192.606: Not a fan of this dumping--there's very little sound in general here to back it up, and the aggressive and unsnapped slowdown makes it very unintuitive to time.

This file has definitely improved since I judged the first iteration of it in batch. I still think there's room for some fairly substantial polishing here, but the difficulty curve is nicer for sure. Good work. [7/10]

10.980, 11.408 - jump for consistency
23.151 - (somewhat subjective) feels missing
45.609 - feels ghost-y
49.123, 49.809, 50.495, etc. - (subjective) not jump? Mostly just checking whether the layering scheme in this section (48.266 - ~58.038) is a simple melody = jump or something more complex because it plays fine as is
58.209 - jump, compare 2:36.946
1:16.972 - ghost-y
2:13.375 - repeat of 45.609, feels ghost-y
2:49.291 - (subjective) I’d probably make this a [123], feels comparatively weak as just [13]
2:49.291 - ~3:00.263 - Not entirely sure on the layering scheme here, namely why certain notes are hands. Notably 2:50.149, 2:52.891, 2:55.634, 2:57.006
3:07.634 - 3:08.663 - definitely recommend moving around this 3 anchor
3:12.606 - end - I don’t really think this end roll thing is an effective ending to the chart. I’d probably just opt for a [23] instead

Much improved. Kudos for sticking through with this one. You’ve made a very fun file here, almost bmah-like in song choice and some pattern choices. Some last touch ups and this is good to go.

Judge Score: 7.50 - Change Recommended

Checking in on the status of this submission, as it's past the 1 month probationary period with a "Change Recommended" flag, but there's been no acknowledgment of judge notes or fixes submitted.

Files/Songs with the "Change Recommended" tag require at a minimum a response from the Stepauthor in order to continue through the submission system.

I will check back on this at a later date. If it does not receive a response or fix by then, it could risk rejection.

Ping because got the 'working on it' update, but we're nearly 4 months later on this.
