ULTIMATE (Ultimate Mike7) [6/10]

PERMS OK
SYNC OK

4.054: Single note at most. Only the melody here is layered, so having a jump doesn't make sense.

13.555: Missing note, hihat just like 13.305.

16.263: Missing note, there's a clear flam here and other flams like 20.242* are layered.

17.742: Very subtle, debatable if that should be layered.

20.242: Should be a 48th at 20.263. See other such flams.

21.742: Yeah no, these are just way too subtle. See also 25.742 and other similar iterations. 29.742 for example is fine, pretty clear.

28.055: Jump. Kick + Melody.

29.680 & 29.930: Should be jumps given that 21.680 is a jump for example.

30.055: From here the layering is slightly odd. For example, why is 31.180 not layered (kick), why is 33.680 not a jump (melody).

53.180: Should be a 4th on 53.055.

53.471: 16th, not 24th.

55.305: Why is this particular one not a jump? Also the jumps layering to the little hihats (up to 1:01.055) feels off here given that much louder sounds have been omitted from the layering up to here.

56.930: No minijack motif like the previous hihat 16ths?

1:02.055: When so many things are layered as jumps, notes like this one would benefit a lot from the occasional hand/triple.

1:08.055: Why is this suddenly a hand?

1:08.971: Not sure what this goes to.

1:33.055-1:34.055: Way too spiky for what it goes to.

2:24.055: No flam like 1:28.055? Could even be (14)(23) flam for the extra volume this one has.

Overall a cute chart. While there is definitely a noticeable attempt at separating the various musical sections with slight layering changes, there are a bit too many layering issues throughout the chart which, mixed with the varied PR (or sometimes lack thereof), make for an unintuitive progression. There's definitely good potential with this, but as is it still needs a fair amount of work.

ULTIMATE (Ultimate Mike7) [7/10]

- Perms, metadata, sync are good

- Mike 7

16.305 - Missing grace note, compare with 20.242

44.055-45.430 - Not quite sure what is the motif with these jumps. Are they emphasising some of the piano?

45.242 - Subjective, there's a sound there, but it's not so audible on normal play

48.138 - I hear a 16th here instead of a 24th

53.055 - Missing note?

53.471 - Same as 48.138

54.555 - Why the [3][34] here?

59.638 - 32nd not 24th

1:00.680 - Not a jump, should be just single note. Recommend on 1 since it mirrors with 1:00.305

1:33.086, 1:33.471 - Both notes need to be moved a 192nd early

1:48.430 - Move the note away from col 4, why is this in a minijack position?

1:52.242 - Missing note? You did chart it at 1:56.242

1:53.617 - Ghost?

2:03.930 - Minijack, change the placement

2:11.305 - Missing jump? Synth + kick

2:12.305 - Following the note above, this one is too subtle to be represented imo

2:13.055 - ^

2:13.805 - Grace note here

Finally a file that is above reject rating from you. This is looking pretty decent, albeit still with a few rough edges.

You nailed it with the PR for the empty parts, but in the jump segments, they're still feeling a bit odd - particularly there are a parts where similar set of notes repeat themselves despite the song doing something different, and it causes disruption with the flow of the song (random example: 1:30.055-1:31.305 - a quick fix to this would be changing the 1:31.055 jump to [12] and move the 16th prior to 4 - giving distinct flow while still retaining some PR sense).

Furthermore, like with your other judged files, there's the unwarranted minijacks issue which some of them are pointed out in the notes - there are a few others not covered in the notes that can be arguably seen as fine.

Layering mostly makes sense here, but do take notice of overlapping/overlayering. (e.g. 1:56.180-1:57.555 - many instruments layered together which causes a bit of blurriness to the flow of the chart)

Overall, I think as a whole this file makes sense. Allow yourself to fix the notes above and it's good to go.
