idk, low 70s bounty i guess. it was intended to be upper 50s but we went a little bit too ham. its also done for real this time. The collaborative process kinda broke down with this and there were too many incomplete versions floating around between us.

its got jumpstreams, its got weird af handstreams, its got a piano solo for some reason, its even got dumpy bursty stuff. honestly this file is a 14/10, might be too good for the OT. but we will be kind and allow you to bask in our greatness

(jk, we did our best, plz be gentle ;-;)

Tech Occultism (Lights & basicdrummerman) [6.5/10]

- Perms, metadata are good

- **Sync is bad. The offset should be roughly -0.078 (It is -0.026 upon submission)

- As a result of the above, notes will be timestamped according to the corrected offset above. Fix it accordingly.

1.326-1.476 - These are 32nds all the way, as a result remove those 24ths

3.178, 4.778, 5.178 (subtle), 5.578 (subtle), 6.378, 7.978 & etc - Ghost notes
^ The continous JS motif here doesn't really work, and leaves more of a confusion to the flow of this section

11.578 - This one is okay however

15.667 - Why jump?

18.578, 18.678 - Missing notes?

27.977, 29.378, 29.578, 30.378, 30.977, 31.177, 31.578 (arguable), 31.977 (subtle), 32.778 (arguable) - Ghost notes
^ These notes once again blur out the attention to the patterns that really stand out in the segment, and provide more confusion to the flow of the song rather than benefitting. I recommend cleaning out some of them.

33.678-36.878 - This flows really weird, but I can't find another alternative to this that won't make it too dull to play

38.578 - Why no jump? You can give up on the 4th jump before it

42.478-47.278 - Hmmm, alright

51.378-51.578 - Somehow these sound like they would be more appropriate as 24ths, despite it literally sounding like 16ths on downrates

51.778 - Missing note / jump

52.778 - Should be jump technically

*53.078 - Offsync note, look at the waveform

54.478-59.278 - Alright, I can fuck with it

1:00.178 - Missing note technically?

1:00.478-1:00.878 - Probably better to give this something else to differentiate from the handstream

*1:06.678-1:06.811 - Remove last 24th to isolate attention to that sound

1:08.878-1:09.278 - I can vaguely hear 16ths here

1:18.178 - Maybe 192nd grace?

1:19.761 - Offsync should be 1:19.728

1:20.369 - These two notes sound offsync a bit as well, suggest double check

1:24.978 - Should be single

1:28.278 - Offsync should be a late 64th

1:40.878-1:41.278 - Not correct jump usage, compare 1:37.678-1:38.078

1:42.578-1:42.678 - Missing notes

1:43.178, 1:43.778, 1:44.778 (arguable), 1:45.378 (subtle), 1:45.578 - Ghost notes

1:50.478-2:16.078 - What is the motif with the 192nds in the JS sections? In the first half it kinda made sense since there's a slight punch to the noise. But here it's not the prominent part of the song.

1:53.344 - 16th not 12th

1:55.744 - ^

2:01.878-2:02.078 - Starts too early imo, fits better at 2:02.078-2:02.278

2:02.278 - Following the note above the 192nd notes are off sync - double check with the waveform & downrates

2:15.778 - Should be minijack, column 1

2:16.178-2:16.278 - Do [3][4] instead to give attention to the repeating 16th sound (2:16.578, 2:16.878, 2:17.178)

2:17.478 - Move to 2 to isolate from the motif on column 4, on the next segment these notes mirror to [2][1]

2:17.778-2:17.878 - See 2:16.178-2:16.278

This file packs some solid ideas with interesting approaches to the handstream and other various noises. However the overall execution of it does not feel polished enough and contains too many QA concerns that hinders it from passing as is.

Note that in this bounty batch, as judging happens live, it may take a bit before a second judge looks at the file. Please be patient. Thanks!

Tech Occultism (Lights & basicdrummerman) [6/10]

PERMS OK
SYNC NOT OK (Offset off by a whole 32nd/50ms). Notes will also be on -0.078 offset to simplify things for you with Deam's notes.

0.211-1.678: Not entirely clear why this is so abstracted, it plays quite oddly and doesn't match the song too well in terms of rhythms.

1.878 & 1.978 & 2.377 & 8.277 & 8.378 & 8.777: Missing notes.

12.878-14.078: What's the layering here? The kicks are on 3/16ths, which doesn't match the jumps here.

14.578: Could add this 16th on col 1.

15.377: If this is layered, why aren't 16.378 or 17.378 too for example, since those are even more prominent sounds.

16.775: Missing note col 2. Similar for 23.175.

17.974: Missing note.

18.575: Missing note.

24.341: This one should be a 16th or omitted.

26.375: Missing note.

40.541: Bit odd abstraction given that the vocals hit on the 16th here.

40.975-41.275: These 32nds dont match the song's rhythm. It seems to kind of abstract the vocals, but that really breaks the flow (especially 41.225 since the vocals are on 3/32nds gaps).

42.608: The wubs start on the 16ths (and continues as 16ths) after each 4th, not 12ths.

47.475: Should be swingy, at 47.491.

51.775: Missing note.

53.075: This is a 64th at 53.050.

53.941: This clear note is omitted because of the long abstract roll. The roll should probably end here at most.

54.208: The 12ths here don't match anything specific, hard to tell what they play to. There are two 16ths before the (134), so maybe that's what was intended to be layered.

54.558: Here again, the wubs have a clear 16th gap with the 4ths. It's fine to abstract them differently for this section, but they should start on the proper quantizations at least. As is, these just feel like jumpstreams and not swingy abstract wubs.

55.475: Missing note.

1:00.175: Missing note.

1:07.875: PR, not the same as the 4th before it.

1:08.975 & 1:09.175: Missing notes.

1:09.975: Why a minijack here?

1:12.075-1:34.475: This feels reaaally empty in general.

1:16.475: Missing note.

1:37.675: It's an odd contrast to have these quite subtle notes be jumps just like the hard kicks at 1:36.275.

1:41.975: What is this jump going to?

1:42.572: No 16ths like 1:36.175?

This chart is a bit too blurry at the moment. Many 16ths sections are really hard to follow and the abstractions are off here and there. This would require non trivial fixes to be accepted unfortunately. It's definitely a tough song to chart though so solid attempt on that.

Not even going to appeal this- the chart is pretty bad.
