The Basement Trio (Pizza69) [7/10] -FR-

PERMS OK
SYNC OK

3.690: Why is this omitted? It's the same instrument as 0.773 for example.

4.606: Missing note?

4.940: Missing note. Check for consistency in this whole intro as it's pretty unclear what the motif is for what's layered and what isn't. The only relatively clear element is the 3/16ths drum kicks on repeated columns.

23.773: Ghost note.

25.356: Another example of the unclear layering. This gets a jump for the intensity, yet the slightly less intense note at 24.523 wasn't even a single.

1:14.106: Missing note.

1:18.940: Missing note.

1:25.773: Missing note.

1:48.773-1:49.317: Wrong quantization. The first 16th is ok, and then it's 3/32nds from the 4th at 1:48.856.

2:50.690: Would expect at least 24ths here.

3:00.690: Could afford a single on col 3 for that kick.

3:01.440: Missing note.

3:01.523-ending [FR]: Here the constant 16th background hihats start yet the chart stays the exact same, if not even less intense. Would greatly benefit from some added motif, maybe adding all the 16ths triplets from the 8ths? For example 3:01.690 & 3:01.773, 3:03.023 & 3:03.106, 3:04.356 & 3:04.440, etc. Those also follow the wubby triplets that the previous section had so really it's pretty much just all missing notes at this point.

3:16.765: Should probably add this.

Though call honestly. The patterning throughout is very fun and friendly, and definitely showcases most of the prominent rhythms the song offers which have a great amount of variety. That being said, it's hard to fully ignore the "vibe" layering in the first half where many of the 16th drums will most likely feel somewhat arbitrary for different players. The song definitely has that vagueness about it in that half though so it's understandable, although a good double check for the motifs and layering certainly wouldn't hurt. Aside from that it's a pretty solid chart. FR'ing on that last section because it makes no sense for it to be easier than the section that precedes it.

Judge Score: 7.00 - Fixes Required

The Basement Trio (Pizza69) [7.5/10]
>Permission good (Blanket)
>Folder contents, metadata good
>Sync good

2.523 - (subjective) may want a 3 here (snare), roughly comparable to 5.190
15.773 - (subjective) would suggest including this snare
1:18.940 - missing?
1:23.606 - missing?
1:27.606 - probably want note here given .273
3:06.190 - missing?

Chart feels experimental, which is perhaps to say it’s unpredictable – a good reflection of the song’s “impromptu jam session” nature (at least in the first ~half). It’s also a tough reading challenge (and also a judgement challenge…) as the sounds followed are often very uneven in rhythm. On the whole, I think this just needs a few small touch ups here and there.

Judge Score: 7.50 - Accepted

Would also note that I've reviewed the suggested FR on this chart, and I find it to be very subjective. I'd rather it be left as an option as it'd be a potentially drastic change to the end of the chart to actually require. Decided to overrule it.

Tru:
2.523 - good call
15.773 - sure
1:18.940 - sure
1:23.606 - good call
1:27.606 - sure
3:06.190 - oops, included

Op:
Many of these notes at the start are not correct (e.g. 3.690 is not the same instrument as what I follow at 0.773, there is no note at 24.523) and I will not respond to each one, I will list only the things I changed.
23.773 - I think you meant the next note was a ghost note. I think it was supposed to go to the hi-hat, which actually goes right here, so I've moved it.
1:14.107 - added
1:25.773 - added
1:48.773 - changed
3:16.765 - added

As a comment on the overruled FR at 3:01.523, I actually did this in the original version of the chart, but it felt way too heavy to me and so I pared that section down a bit.
