Cub Cub Lion Heart (jacobvl39) [6.5/10]
- Perms (Limited), metadata, sync are good
5.237-7.123 - From an accuracy standpoint, it doesn't seem like there are trill in this section
8.151 - PR, should be 4
11.580 or 11.751, 11.923 - Different sounds going into the same column which PR wise does not feel correct
15.694-18.437 - No 16ths here / undercharted, which is inconsistent with 5.237-7.123
31.294, 1:59.061 - Jump?
45.609 - Ghost note?
48.608 - Why not [24]?
54.266 - Why not 3?
58.209 - Jump
1:10.715 - PR for flute, should be 3
1:11.315, 1:22.287 - Hmm, not technically a mini jumpjack as far as I see it. Something else that makes more sense is [13][23][24]. Subjective though
1:20.836-1:21.265 - Weird that the notes here are still descending despite the song changing to ascending notes, suggest to mirror
1:22.544 - Could probably afford a flam as well?
1:22.715-1:25.458 - Questionable set of repeating 8ths on column 1, does not feel like it accents nor flowing with the song right
1:35.144, 1:40.633, etc - Missing note?
1:35.726 - Slighly off, it's a late 64th when modifying from that timestamp
1:36.346 - Massively offsync. Sounds more like 1:36.420 instead. Luckily you don't need to change color theory here
1:37.755 - Also offsync. Should be 1:37.755 (8th)
1:41.404 - It makes more sense to keep this hand the same as the previous one ([123]) so it could PR right with the 8th before
1:43.633 - Move to 4, change hand above accordingly as well
2:13.376 - Ghost note
2:17.061-2:21.690 - Oh boy, that's quite a ramp up in difficulty of patterns
2:38.318 - Move to [24]
2:42.257 - There's a very strong emphasis on the synth here, so maybe add that as a jump
2:43.714 - Missing note
2:49.281-2:58.712 - What's the motif of the hands here? Are you charting them for the kicks, the slightly more accented low bass synth, or both? If both, this is a bit confusing and unintuitive
3:00.255 - This is awkward and the only place where you do this kind of it. If you want to keep the hand, at least nix the jump on the 16th prior
3:00.598-3:05.055 - This one is also a bit difficult to understand what some of the 8th jumps go to. Particularly, 3:03.170 and 3:03.512
3:12.599 - Bit of an odd choice to end the file with a burst choice like that, but I don't hate it either
This chart is in a bit of an odd place. Playability wise it's good and the ideas make sense. But there are still a few technical issues that makes this file's flow fall steeply. Particularly, there are a few (presumable) accidental jump chains that do not provide any justification to the song, e.g. 54.095-54.438 & 1:10.543-1:10.886. As well as single notes landing on the same column as jumps e.g. 48.780 that lose a bit of sense of accuracy/PR. Some stuff like 1:10.029-1:10.543 does make sense however, so not everything is like that.
Besides that, there are lots of minor/unclear mistakes that are spread out to the entire file which leaves me uncertain whether this is acceptable enough to pass or not. I haven't looked at the initial submission for comparison, but what I want to reassure you is that the file not bad, and I think it can fit in the game no problem. Just still needs a bit more polish before it can go.

Cub Cub Lion Heart (jacobvl39) [6.5/10]
PERMS OK
SYNC OK
38.494: This jump is confusing. Why is this a jump and not 37.809 for example?
39.180: This jump is even more confusing. Why a jump here but not at 40.551? The layering in this section is not great, check for more similar inconsistencies.
57.266: Missing note.
59.752: Fun motif.
1:10.800: Arguably missing note.
1:12.600: Unclear why the three hands here.
1:16.715: This feels too random. Keep it simple with the same approach as 1:11.229 and just do something like (23)(23)(14) (34).
1:19.965: Bit early on the sync here. Also, PR isn't great, consider making these first two triplets 321 or 421 instead of 432.
1:31.122: This 192nds abstraction to the bass slide is very strange to play. A simple flam would probably be much more appropriate. Same for 3:09.862.
1:35.144: Missing note.
1:36.346 & 1:37.719: These two notes are too early.
1:40.633: Missing note.
1:42.433: PR would be better on this one if it went left to right.
1:46.118: Missing note.
2:59.055: What's this jump?
3:00.255: Seems to be the only occurrence of this layering with the forced minijack. When looking at previous similar sounding iterations, such as 1:21.515 for example or even just the many hard crashes transitions that are layered as jumps and not hands (see 59.580 or 2:38.318, random examples).
3:02.570: Jump? Kick.
3:12.606: Doesn't work.
This chart is a bit difficult to follow. There are quite a few neat little elements that add to the variety, however the layering is pretty confusing at times and it's unclear why there are jumps or hands or omitted notes etc. Nothing too egregious in terms of spikes and whatnot, but the layering concerns are spread throughout the chart and would require a pretty thorough rework that's outside of the scope of an FR. There's good potential with this chart, but there really needs to be a clearer intent as to what is a single/jump/hand/quad and which 16ths are charted or omitted.
