Metal Is for Everyone (Storn42) [9/10]
PERMS OK
SYNC MAYBE OK? (Offset off by roughly 8-10ms for the most part, can be seen well at 18.604 or 57.041 for example.)
0.000: There probably should be at the very least singles on the guitar chords, if not doubles. This intro void is unnecessarily long. It's nice musically, but very unengaging during playthrough especially if restarting.
28.013: This flam doesn't feel too representative given that the slide stops on the 8th which is quite far. Just 121 in 16ths would be fine.
1:46.412: The trilling starting here is a bit odd since the guitar it goes to starts at 1:46.605.
Very consistent and intuitive chart. The PR and layering is great and reflects the song's intensity well. Great job. Check out the sync and intro just in case.

Metal Is for Everyone (Storn42) [8.5/10]
- Perms, metadata, sync are good
- Credit field is incorrect, it should be your FFR name
24.023 - Not a jump
28.013 - Sounds like a 16th and not a 24th
34.658-35.447 - Subjective, but jumps not in line with 29.921-30.711 - should be [12] and a [23] for the 4th jumps. Same w/ 33.474-33.869
1:23.380-1:40.992 - This layering is weird. I understand that you're represnting both the vocals and the snares with the jumps. However with both it creates a vague understanding to the section due to the mix of hands randomly forming together. Stick to only the vocals if your intention is to represent different things in the song (in 19.378-24.991 you only represented the snare with 8th jumps), and if you want to slightly spice up the difficulty, maybe add hands to the vocals each 4th apart.
1:51.251-1:52.799 - Slightly rude, but nothing else to offer here
2:47.356 - Hand?
3:15.048-3:45.048 - See 1:23.380-1:40.992
In the words of ositz: Straightforward & consistent. Would like to know what you think about 1:23.380-1:40.992, since while the layering there is not wrong, it feels finicky.

@OP
0.000: There probably should be at the very least singles on the guitar chords, if not doubles. This intro void is unnecessarily long. It's nice musically, but very unengaging during playthrough especially if restarting.
- I recognize the issue here, and it was something i took into consideration when charting this song. I could chart the vocals, but i dont feel like thats the right choice for this song, and would contradict other sections. I could chart the keyboard here, but it is VERY quiet. The only other option is to cut which doesn't feel right. And while the intro is a bit long, The song is also nearly 4 minutes after being cut so i dont feel people are going to be retry spamming it that hard.
28.013: This flam doesn't feel too representative given that the slide stops on the 8th which is quite far. Just 121 in 16ths would be fine.
- 121 feels a bit much for this calm intro. since the 8th isn't as noticeable, this feels like the right kind of representation to me.
1:46.412: The trilling starting here is a bit odd since the guitar it goes to starts at 1:46.605.
- good catch
@Deam
24.023 - Not a jump
- cymbal + guitar note here for the jump. which is also why 24.604 is also [14]
28.013 - Sounds like a 16th and not a 24th
- fine. i'll move it to a 16th.
34.658-35.447 - Subjective, but jumps not in line with 29.921-30.711 - should be [12] and a [23] for the 4th jumps. Same w/ 33.474-33.869
- thats not really the direction i'm looking to take the file.
1:23.380-1:40.992 - This layering is weird. I understand that you're represnting both the vocals and the snares with the jumps. However with both it creates a vague understanding to the section due to the mix of hands randomly forming together. - The layering scheme here is one i've often used, notably in other songs by the same artist. It offers a good density that i feel works nicely without just being constant hands. The intro was Intentionally chosen to be undercharted. Its really early in the chart, and the section itself isn't quite as filled out as the other choruses so i felt it was the best idea to underlayer that section in particular. I also wasn't the biggest fan of slamming people with dense hs/js at the very start of the chart like that.
1:51.251-1:52.799 - Slightly rude, but nothing else to offer here
- :)
2:47.356 - Hand?
- good catch.
