Stop Saying We Sound Like Dragonforce (Tru) [REJECT]

PERMS OK
SYNC OK

The 24ths bursts that aren't triplets are too spiky relative to the rest. The section at 2:37.640 doesn't really stand out at all despite sounding really different than the chorus and is too easy for how it transitions to a long series of 24ths triplets.

Overall the chart lacks a bit of difficulty curve balance due to the 24ths, and while there are some neat accents with some rolly 32nds/colored bursts, there isn't much variety to complement the many elements the song's different sections have to offer; it's a lot of similar looking js/hs.

FIXES REQUIRED

9.890: Should be 24ths. Arguably 9.590 shouldn't be, but I'm fine with including them for flow reasons.
13.640: Perhaps [23]4 to reduce right hand jack strain slightly?
30.440: Not sure why this is a hand? Doesn't seem to be layering for the kick since 30.890 doesn't get a jump.
46.040: Pretty strong & high guitar note here, would like to see this accented in some way.
59.240, 137.240: 12th trill out of the 8th jumpjack is a little mean, would like to see a slightly smoother transition out of this stream.
64.040: Unclear intent for trill. If I'm interpreting this right, shouldn't this not anchor with the jumps beforehand? Occurs later too, e.g. 239.240.
67.640-68.240: Why jumps on every 8th here? It makes total sense afterwards, but this first bit confuses me.
87.515: PR-wise, this shouldn't be attached to the OHT. Since the right hand is also getting a lot of trill action here, perhaps the call is to keep this here and move the OHT from here on out to left hand.
91.490: Timbre is pretty distinct on this last bit, suggest breaking the 3-column roll shtick here.
131.465: This jump placement was correct the first time around, but this time it's just on the beat at 131.540.
** 162.440-167.240: urgh. This plays really badly imo. As the equivalent of 300bpm 16ths, this is pretty slow to jumptrill manip, but is very fast to hit legit. It doesn't help that a huge amount of the rolling here is outwards (e.g. 34213421, as opposed to 12431243) which is tougher to hit... or that from 166.040 onwards, the hand that's not doing the manip/rolling requires nontrivial anchor control. You'll probably have to forgo the 3-note rolls here in exchange for easier stream patterns due to the length and complexity of this run.
--> I'm personally not the biggest fan of 211.640 either, but it is much friendlier to hit and so I don't think it *needs* to be changed. That said, that song does lose a bit of intensity starting at 215.240, so I'd drop that last measure down to regular streams.
* 178.040 section: What is the layering here?

I actually take the opposite issue from Oppie; I'm okay with most of the 24ths, but found the long run of triplets at 162.440 wildly spiky. The 16th jumpstream bits do a good job at varying their layering to match the song's intensity though, so 24ths aside, I like this a fair bit.

Fixes Required

So I'm super conflicted on this, main reason stems from the same reason as Pizza with the whole rolly 24ths thing. Those 24th gallop streams feel like a "Star of the COME ON!!" type of thing for high D6 level. On Storn's file it makes sense because that file is overall significantly more difficult with its patterns (Minijacks, OHT JS & HS) and it evens out. On this version the file is less intense and the rolls are slightly more antagonizing to play. While easier to manip (since it's slower) it's tough to execute compared to the rest.

Should I be doing this on my own files?
Who knows

Trying this highly experimental, potentially way too silly thing - changed (all) the big 24th 3-note rolls to copy what I originally had only at 93.140. It should now be more explicitly trillable, though they might play more like flams kind of? I think it's an okay middle ground though might be hard to read. If it doesn't fly, the only other option I've considered is to just do 24th streams instead of the 3-note-roll shenanigans.

9.890 - I see why you're suggesting this, but it's inaccurate so choosing to leave it
46.040 - ? There's only a cymbal here that I'm not following
59.240 - hopefully a bit smoother, keeps the jumpjack motion on the right hand going a bit longer
64.040 - 8ths follow guitar, 16ths are mostly filler. I'll change 64.265 so it's not a trill any more I guess
178.040 - 187.640 - jumps/hands follow guitar melody, 181.940-182.840 jumps/hand for drum fills. Fill in (guitar) 16ths.
Addressed all other notes from Pizza.

For public judging posterity: Still not good. Will discuss with charter in DMs for possible resolution.

Any follow-ups on this? Been some time in-batch. I know there's a tournament & everything happening right now, but yeah.
