God this is a weird layering scheme. I had to inspect it carefully to even comprehend why some 16ths were there and others not.

The layering of the notes like 21.123, 22.849, 24.576, etc are particularly confusing during gameplay because whatever sound that's layered is super subtle and completely drowned by the drums that are Not layered. These would definitely have to be removed to clearly show that the drums are not a part of what's being played.

That being said, the progression of the chart is quite unintuitive in general starting with just drums in the intro, then dropping most of the drums except the snares, then at 35.044 the snares aren't jumps anymore (when layered with melody) in favor of the background chords, then we lose those chords at 46.698, then at 1:02.238 the jumps are relatively subtle crashes or claps, etc.

Definitely a good attempt at a simple mid-difficulty chart, but the result is just a bit too confusing as there's nothing to really hold onto given that the layering suddenly changes so often.

9/10: straightforward file without any technical errors. i wouldn't personally approach it like this and would prefer to use continuous streams instead but it's fine how it is

Moved to accept

My main concern with this is more so the song itself - the audio quality is pretty rough. It's not outright painful so won't require changes. But if it can be improved that'd be nice.

As for the layering concern - I think it's fine. To me this chart has a strong sense of flow that overpowers the unintuititve layering structure. It's a pretty interesting chart overall and a very strong reflection of this song's energy.

Checking in to see the status of this file, as it's getting close to the 1 month probationary period in-batch where notes can be read, and fixes can be applied. Although, neither have been done.

This has a straight accepted rating, so it will be automatically accepted and pushed through to release after this 1 month period if no action is taken. Just a heads up in-case of eventually wanting to address any notes or apply any fixes or changes.
