Chord Bastard (rushyrulz) [5/10]
PERMS OK
SYNC OK
3.950: Missing note.
5.000: Jumps should start here, the added kick is added clearly.
5.900: Hands should start here.
13.100 & 13.250: Hands here.
17.000: (123) here for PR to not conflict with 17.600.
18.000: While the intention here is clear, the sudden dropping of the synth's jack is pretty jarring, especially since it gets lourder and louder while the high pitched tick that's followed gets buried. Consider just keeping the synth jack and "wtf" vocal layering.
21.275: Long unjustified anchor on column 3 here.
23.000: Can't let this slide sorry. The 32nds are patterned to be jumptrillable, however the jumps force super precise jumptrill speed changes that don't match with the sound they go to. At the Very least this would have to be all singles (the first note of it could be a (12) or (34) jump, but meh), or simplified to 24ths or even 20ths depending on the patterning and difficulty balance with the rest of the chart.
26.300: Same as 21.275 except on 8ths instead of 16ths.
26.600: Missing jump.
27.800: Same as 23.000 but even more jarring given 29.000-29.300.
30.600: Could be a jump.
33.500: Missing jump.
38.787: Excessively difficult. The PR also doesn't seem to match anything specific so it feels odd to play.
43.700: Bit messy when playing, too much layered at the same time. Would suggest simply omitting this 4th and using a jump on 43.737.
44.300: Single (no kick).
44.450: Missing single.
44.600-47.000: Not sure what the jumps layering follows in this part, confusing.
45.425: Should minijack with the 8th before it. 46.250 does it.
46.850: Not consistent with the other 64ths on the sweep sounds.
47.000: Missing note.
47.412: These 32nds jumps are very subtle sounds and much less prominent than the trilly one going on here.
50.000: Too spiky for how soft this fades in. It's also counterintuitive to have the synth be charted in a very difficult way when it's subtle and transition to very easy patterning at 50.600 when its intensity increases. The pitch doesn't justify it either.
51.350 & 51.650: Missing notes.
53.975: Missing note.
56.150-56.000: Doubling the jumptrill speed here makes it very jarring to play given that the intensity of the synth gradually increases instead of having a distinct jump.
57.425: Missing note.
1:08.450: Ghost notes - if abstract charting, too much for the subtle sounds.
1:14.000: Here the 16ths jacks make more sense in context. However if kept as is, they should at least have 4 notes each to match the synth. 12111 is an awkward motion.
1:18.200: Ghost 32nds.
1:18.725 & 1:18.875 & 1:19.025: Missing notes.
1:19.625: Why the minijack? Same for 1:20.825.
1:21.150: The sweep is actually after the 4th, not before.
1.22:400-1:22.550: 24ths here.
1:29.600: These 16ths are oversimplifying the 32nds sound they go to, especially considering the very difficult stuff in the file.
1:32.150: This is a good example of a moment where underlayering should be used. This section is already so busy with the roll flams, suddenly having to hit this stab synth is really awkward and spiky.
This chart unfortunately doesn't meet the standards. That being said, it has really fun ideas and innovative patterns. High difficulty charts are not trivial to create since they require a lot more attention to consistency with their high notecount and density. I mentioned more stuff than I'd usually do in these cases so that it can maybe help as a guide to your future hard charts. Feel free to reach out in DMs for clarifications or discussion!

Playtest Impression, 1.0x Rate - Jumptrill simulator? Intense jacks too
The jumptrills are somewhat justified, even though the closest comparisons I could make would be files like Kirlian Shores, which these are slightly slower and longer than, or Mope Mope, notably a meme chart (this hits higher nps because of layering, Mope Mope peaks at 200 48ths).
There are also some longer jacks to contend with, which are pretty hard to justify at 200 bpm. I think you can still get away with minis here, but jacks longer than 3 notes are a bit too much for this overall difficulty level.
21.275 - 22.175 - Kind of weird 3 anchor here. Could maybe justify an anchor from 20.600 - 23.000, but this partial one doesn’t really work
–21.800 - probably shouldn’t be a hand based on the layering structure here. Should probably be a single you don’t seem to be following the kick drum here
25.700 - snare jump
26.300 - 27.200 - similar situation to 21.275 note
29.000 - (somewhat subjective) probably shouldn’t be a jump, no snare
29.187 - why jump?
51.200 - slightly disappointed to not have the 8ths stepped here
53.975 - missing
1:00.650 - 1:01.550 - (very subjective) This sound starts earlier than this.
1:11.000 - no drums here, reduce jump
1:18.875 - missing
1:37.100 - probably want a jump here
The chart needs some clean up. Longer jacks will definitely need a nerf. Jumptrills are okay in overall concept even though they might be contentious in the playerbase. There’s some potential here, but it’ll need a fair bit of work.
