Playtest Impression, 1.0x Rate - Other file Velocity & GS sent has a better difficulty curve. Spikes here are a bit too comparatively extreme.

48.183, 55.242 - (somewhat subjective) feel like this note should be either 1 or 2 64ths later

**1:12.117 - 1:14.351, 1:16.115 - 1:17.880, 1:19.645 - 1:21.409, 1:23.174 - 1:24.939, 2:08.588 - 2:10.821, 2:12.586 - 2:13.909, 2:16.115 - 2:17.880, 2:19.645 - 2:21.851- Nerf these pls.

This is pretty fun, but the spikes definitely feel like too much. Especially given the somewhat unique situation with this file - another version by Velocity and gold stinger sent to the October/November 2021 batch (https://www.flashflashrevolution.com/batch_submission/batch/?id=1335) was also accepted. That file has a much smoother difficulty curve and is my preferred choice overall, but this version could probably get there with less spiky spikes.

With enough of a nerf, this could be a pretty satisfying Standard/Heavy to the other version’s Heavy/Oni. Might be worth poking Velocity/gs to see if they’re willing to share their version so you can best distinguish yours.

The reason for reject here is more structural than an accumulation of mistakes. The approach taken here leads to most of the file being nearly filler due to the short spikes of quadruple bpm, which is a bit of a shame because the easier sections flow super well and are very fun to play. The second half (the calmer parts) of the song is quite high intensity relative to the first half, and could even lend itself to some abstract charting to match that intensity. Despite that, here it is only very slightly more layered if at all, which is just too far from what the spikes reach in terms of difficulty.

That being said, here are some notable elements however that are more precise.

1:12.641: Transitioning out of a pretty fast 2323 long trill with a one handed minitrill is mean.

1:13.193: Missing note.

1:13.303: Ghost note.

1:14.075: Ghost note.

1:19.700: Missing note. If you're following the synth and not the drums, then 1:20.693 would be missing instead.

1:19.810: Ghost note. See 1:19.700.

1:40.380-2:08.174: Too underlayered.

2:09.884 & 2:09.994 & 2:10.104: Cannot hear any of those, especially after the 16ths at 2:09.387. It's hard to follow what sounds are charted in the fast spikes because the chosen layering includes very subtle sounds in a highly noisy environment.

2:13.082: Missing note.

This chart has solid flow outside the spikes, but these are just too big of a gap from the rest of the chart.
