The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny (gold stinger) [7/10]
>Permission good (CC BY-NC-SA)
>Folder contents, metadata good
>Sync good
Playtest Impression, 1.0x Rate - Tedious to play. Might need some cleanup.
1:04.312 - Structure suggests not jump
1:26.944 - ^
1:31.154 - ^
2:16.417, 2:18.523 - snare jumps?
This one leaves me somewhat conflicted. For me, it’s not an overly interesting file, and leans heavily on the song to maintain player interest. I’d say you could probably just cut the whole file in half but it’d essentially ruin the song’s “story.” There’s not a lot to fault here from a technical view. It’s just too long (and highly subjectively, didn’t age all that well) to create all that interesting a file.

- 0:02.119, 0:02.382 With the jumps on 4ths, it seems a bit odd to me to ignore these notes. 0:05.365 feels especially out of place when it doesn't fall on the standard beat and 0:5.277 has the same snare, but is ignored. maybe add the notes in for the intro and drop em when the vocals kick in?
- 0:10.102 I'm not sure i understand the jump usage in the section. It would make sense for this note to be a jump since 0:09.049 is the same sound and a jump but it isn't. Instead notes like 0:10.628 are jumps and im not sure why. The only thing i can hear special about these notes is the kick, which i believe also happens on 0:10.102 but its a bit hard to hear. It just seems a bit backwards to me which 4ths have jumps. You mention snares not lining up with vocals, but there are also examples like 0:21.154 where kicks dont either.
- 0:16.417-0:16.944 These vocals sound closer to 16ths here to me.
- 0:26.154-0:26.680 More vocals that sounds like 16ths.
- 0:35.540 I think this flows better if its also a 16th.
- 0:42.382 ghost note? i dont hear a vocal for this note. This entire small section feels a bit off since you seem to be adding in more percussion notes and 0:42.733 is now a jump unlike the rest of the previous section. The added note of 0:42.909 brings more attention to the percussion and makes notes like 0:43.172 feel like they're missing. 0:42.996 also sounds like a percussion note instead of being for the vocals. I feel like this section would make a lot more sense if you have previously been following snares with jumps but without it.
- 0:46.154 this little mini-oht here makes it seem to me like the vocals start on the 8th instead of the 16th. I know it would mess with your pr, but you could move the oht to the right hand and have it start on the 16th and it would better follow the vocals.
- 0:53.786 I feel this jump anchoring the 1 here should be moved. The new vocal line doesn't start until 0:54.049 and consistently they have had new jacks starting on the 8th. Starting it with the new vocal line just has a better punch than starting it before. While the note might be low i think this is another instance where a little pr can be sacrificed.
- 1:04.312 I'm guessing this is a leftover jump from copy/paste? dont hear any snares here to warrant a jump.
- 1:18.523 Sounds like 16ths again to me. Additionally 1:18.961 seems to be missing a vocal note.
- 1:35.759 another missing vocal. Abraham lincoln really got it rough in this chart.
- 1:41.330 See 0:42.382
- 2:03.259 note is a bit late. sounds like it should start a 64th earlier.
- 2:07.075 sounds like it should be a 64th later. 2:07.338 sounds like the 24th would be more accurate.
- 2:59.049 considering the lack on instruments in this section maybe drop the jumps. I think it would be a better stylistic choice. Additionally its easier to hear the kicks on notes like 2:59.575 and with these notes being jumps in the intro it stands out a bit more.
Anybody got a time machine so we can go put this file in game in 2007? its really one of those songs you would've thought we'd have in game already with all the other ones. even the chart might fit in pretty well. I truly do think the jumps should be swapped. Outside that and a little polish it really is a nice little chart.

Planning to work on this / add fixes, just haven't been able to yet because I'm juggling a couple other projects atm. But I promise I will get fixes in before the 1 month mark!

Thank you so much for the notes! Jumps should look clean af now, and chorus should look a lot more clean PR-wise thanks to Storn's notes.
Vocal anchoring wasn't even something I was considering while making the chart during the chorus, and that is a MUCH better approach than what I had initially in mind.
