Still waffling on whether I want to chart a couple short streams as streams or not, but ultimately shouldn't matter a whole lot lol.

✔️ This chart has been marked as final and shouldn't receive any more changes.

Dawn (7.0/10)
Permission check good.
Sync looks good (No changes necessary).
No issues found within simfile properties.

-[00:51.348] 4th not included?

-[01:07.394] Personally, would've preferred jumps to drums here that are notably outlined at 03:32.510 without the 20ths.

-[01:16.289] 8th here should be a hand.

-[01:38.615] Hand here on this 8th, following 8th probably not hand-worthy. (See: 02:01.289) Double-check this transitional to see if hands/jumps need swapping around here.

-[02:00.941] Probably an 8th hand here, given what instruments & drum hits are being paired with hands vs. jumps.

-[02:55.882 -> 02:57.627] Missing a ton of filler here. Even if watered down for an easier section, 02:57.103 and 02:57.452 should definitely be filled in here.
around here. The rest of the song doesn't utilize the same dump-structure layering and jumps difficulties of some sections (compare 03:31.115 to 00:43.673) and underlayers the difficulty of other sections (compare 03:21.347 to 01:52.045). The overall result, is a particularly spiky chart in nature.

-[03:52.220] I've already laid out my case for stuff beyond 02:58, but further near the end of the song, watch that you're not dropping 6-note long One-hand jacks like this one near the ending of a 4 minute file. Done a fairly good job at avoiding this before this point.

-[04:03.382] 5-note 172bpm jack on left hand into 6-note 172bpm jack on right hand to close out the song.

-It's a CR from me unfortunately. Would've accepted w/ a cut at the mentioned note, but file balance & difficulty spiking/structure is lost in the last minute of the file as-is for me.
I personally feel like everything past 2:59.022 on Dawn plays as a completely separate file of that before the timestamp. In difficulty, layering, and patterning so it was pretty negatively received on my end. Almost as-if the file was initially stopped for a bit at that point, and then picked back up after a couple weeks with a different mindset for the song.

Playtest Impression, 1.0x Rate - I will never be able to read 20ths but this seems real solid.

1:49.516 - (subjective, can ignore) - Might like a note here
3:52.045, 4:03.731 - (subjective, can ignore) - Just making sure you want these minijacks all on the same hand like this. It’s fine, just …checking…

This is one heck of a file. I’m a pretty big fan of this approach, it’s a really interesting take on a song that would probably make a pretty boring file without more novel structure ideas. Nicely done!

A new chart file was uploaded with the following changes:
----------
Note Count changed: 2733 => 2736
AVG NPS changed: 11.13238 => 11.1446
Hand Bias changed: -49 => -46

gs:
- can't hear 4th at 51.348
- hand usage in notes like 1:16.289 etc. was more down to intensity than strictly what instruments are playing, but i agree there was room to tighten it up and so i did
- 2:55.882 -> 2:57.627: song is winding down here, intentionally dropped to only vocal notes
- disagree strongly with cutting the last minute of the song. the last minute is my favourite musically, and the shift in charting focus reflects the shift in the song's focus. no cognitive dissonance there. and i don't feel it's spiky compared to the rest.

tru:
- added 1:49.516
- 3:52.220, 4:03.731: they look scary but play pretty smoothly imo, i tried to minimize collisions with stuff before and after. ran this by a couple people for playtesting to make sure it wasn't just me & they didn't really have issues with it, so i think i'll keep em.

thanks for the notes!
