Weeping Wastelands (8*/10)
-[00:21.909] From what I can tell from this chart, vocals are followed to some extent. Therefore, probably worth filling in these vocals given all the notes happening already.
-[01:00.090] 16ths aren't necessarily audible here, consider following what you've been doing with vocals to this point, and use a quad on the 4th and giving a short break until the next 4th.
-[01:27.227] Missing guitar 8th.
-[02:28.454] Alright, so here's the totally expected, generic note on this mammoth-long hand-bias. There is a lot of PR happening here that doesn't align with what's happening on right hand, could probably use a once-over, consider what could be stretched/more enjoyable for a marathon file if you opened up to using the 'down' column. Wouldn't ask to use all 4 columns.
-[03:06.054] Hand here on the 4th, and then following 8th at 03:06.254 should be a jump? (guitar)
-[03:15.445] Repeat note at 01:27.227.
-[03:50.400] Missing 12th? (wow)
-[03:58.604] Missing 16th
-[05:17.286] Switch the 16ths here to a different column that isn't 'down' (causes the same issue). This is painful, and out-of-structure for what was previously set in the file.
-[05:33.650] Repeat of the above note.
-[06:04.236] This type of egregious jump usage is just, too much 6 minutes into the file. Especially with it encompassing jumps that require two hands. Dial it back to what was used in the immediate previous sections (as singles). If you need to, use jumps as the starting note for each jack set, but it shouldn't exceed that. (Also, vocal accentuation is missed at 06:05.836, 06:06.436 and 06:07.036 as a result of this.)
-[06:17.036 / 06:23.436 -> 06:34.436] Above note also applies to these sections. Dial it back.
Would borderline CQ this submission, require dialing it back on jumpjacks for the ending. Everything else is more or less fine.

Weeping Wastelands (storn42) [8/10]
>Permission good (Rise Records)
>Sync good
>Folder contents, metadata good. Drops a couple f-bombs, qualifies for [Explicit] tag
(Playtest Impression, 0.8x Rate) Pain.
The file does what it sets out to do - be an extreme, all-encompassing stamina test. I don’t really see anything to mention on this one from a technical pov.
—-----------
Matthia was consulted on this file and offers the following input:
The first six minutes of the file (up to the beginning of the jack section) is purely composed of 220 bpm jumpstream, resembling its difficulty at a mid-high D7 level. The one-handed trills are okay.
The 150 bpm jacks (up to 6 notes long) are a little bit of a step-up in difficulty relative to the rest of the chart, especially having them at the end of a 7 minute file, but is still manageable in general.
Suggested changes (but not required):
- 6:06.436 and 6:06.536:
Move these two notes on column 3 to either column 2 (getting rid of the 6 note jack*) or 4 (if you want to keep the 6-note jack). If you choose to do 4, move the two prior notes on column 4 to column 3 (@ 6:06.136 and 6:06.236) to maintain pattern consistency. For most players, it's easier to transition from single-note jacks to jumpjacks on the same hand when the singl
e-note jacks start on the outer columns 1 and 4 (i.e. 11[12][12][12][12] or 44[34][34][34][34]). The rest of the 6-note jack instances in this file are okay.
*if you choose to get rid of the 6-note jack instead, you should also make changes to all the other 6-note jacks for consistency purposes.

[00:21.909] From what I can tell from this chart, vocals are followed to some extent. Therefore, probably worth filling in these vocals given all the notes happening already.
- yea, i've even added more in the following section.
[01:00.090] 16ths aren't necessarily audible here, consider following what you've been doing with vocals to this point, and use a quad on the 4th and giving a short break until the next 4th.
- On closer inspection these are actually 12ths lol. Will still do as suggested.
[01:27.227] Missing guitar 8th.
- yup
[02:28.454] Alright, so here's the totally expected, generic note on this mammoth-long hand-bias. There is a lot of PR happening here that doesn't align with what's happening on right hand, could probably use a once-over, consider what could be stretched/more enjoyable for a marathon file if you opened up to using the 'down' column. Wouldn't ask to use all 4 columns.
- i've moved the accented notes to 2 to make this more interesting.
[03:06.054] Hand here on the 4th, and then following 8th at 03:06.254 should be a jump? (guitar)
[03:15.445] Repeat note at 01:27.227.
- the jumps/hands here are all for the vocals/sanre.
[03:50.400] Missing 12th? (wow)
- This seems like the same scenario as 1:00.090 lmao, though more accurately 1:09.636. given how inaudible these are its maybe best to just leave it uncharted, like earlier.
[03:58.604] Missing 16th
- a bit hard to hear, but i've added it to previous sections as well.
[05:17.286] Switch the 16ths here to a different column that isn't 'down' (causes the same issue). This is painful, and out-of-structure for what was previously set in the file.
[05:33.650] Repeat of the above note.
- I'm not quite sure what you want me to do here. I don't understand what your specific issue with this section is or why the 16ths need to specifically be on not down. I dont see a way for me to repattern this that you would be happy with. I've just copied the earlier sections since you didn't seem to have a problem with those.
[06:04.236] This type of egregious jump usage is just, too much 6 minutes into the file. Especially with it encompassing jumps that require two hands. Dial it back to what was used in the immediate previous sections (as singles). If you need to, use jumps as the starting note for each jack set, but it shouldn't exceed that. [06:17.036 / 06:23.436 -> 06:34.436] Above note also applies to these sections. Dial it back.
- booooooo. this is the one part of the chart i can actually play! I'll nerf it but im not happy about it.

Yep. Can help clarify on this. The earlier rendition (at 01:58.454) did not anchor the 16ths to the same column. (image: https://i.imgur.com/LrcjAeT.png)
Later rendition of the section (at 05:17.286) added single-use iterations of extended 16th anchoring, and swapping to 'down' in a [13]2[13]2 etc. pattern following would continue the issue in that particular case. I don't very much care what sort of jump/singles pairing is used here, just looking for that same structure done earlier in the file (image: https://i.imgur.com/5gJDgIv.png)

Got it! I've changed the patterns again to not be copy/pasted, but follow that structure.

Looks like the CQ was satisfied along with other QoL fixes added. Pushing this through.
