O2mania (O2jam emulator)

I'm really no good at o2mania
i'm just wondering, you guys that are actually
good/great at the game, how long did it take for you to get the good?
Also, was the a large "spike" in the learning curve of the game?
i just started yesterday and want to know what to expect.

this is kind of off topic but how did you get O2mania. i have vista so does it only work on XP or something

First of all, pick a key setup that you know will register multiple keys at once.
I think mine was like asd ghj or something. Also, learn to play on faster speeds. That's basically all I can tell you =/

Here's a tip...you'll never get good playing on o2mania. Sorry but it's just not as smooth even on the 1.2 or 1.3b versions. There's slight timing and health differences making it more awkward to pass stuff.

Either you should suck it up and pay for songs on the official servers or find a private server.

actually , it works on vista... its just hard to find the download.translate the main site with google, scroll down till u see this

and click on that. then look for something that says "download address 1"

Yeah, and never be able to play any of the best songs.
on O2mania you can play any o2jam files, and BMS files.
I have all the official o2jam files, and none of the p2p ones work on o2jam, but all of them work on o2mania.

That leads to Option 2- Find a private server.

On private servers, all songs are available and even fanmade songs can be added. All you need is the ojn/ojm converter for your bms file of choice and you can play it on the real o2jam.

people that say play real o2jam, without buying songs, youll have a hard time getting good, although there are plenty of songs to help out, its much easier if you have the songs, which you can get with o2mania for free.

i still stick with o2jam, cause i was to lazy to dl o2mania and find files.
