I'm having a birthday soon enough, and a party on Friday. It's hard to confirm as of now who is going and who can't make it, but it's appearing that there could be anywhere from 8-13 people there.
I want to host a live TWG, and I need both help as to how to do that and an idea for what game to host. Most of these players are not acquainted with TWG [a few played Mafia], but they're fairly bright people. With a live TWG, should I have all the players sit in a circle, or what? Also, would players be allowed to have side conferences, away from the group? Obviously, I know how to do all the rules, but the variations with live TWG have me a tad confused. So, help and suggestions, please. Last edited by T3hDDRKid; 04-23-2007 at 12:02 PM.. |

Ehh..."let's go to a party to play a game that was made for the internet."
Doesn't sound like a good idea to me..but whatever it's your party. |

I could Mafia, if I made it interesting, I guess.
Suggestions for setup? I'm thinking 12+ person setup [I guess possibly more people are coming, now] One policeman [seer] No doctor [guardian] Three masons [duh] X humans Three mafia [wolves] Possibly sound like a good setup? I have had no experience hosting, so tell me if it could be unbalanced. 8-12 Policeman [seer] I think.. Bookie? [vigi] X citizens Two Mafia Bouncing ideas off, hopefully somebody.. wait.. WTF, LIGHTKNIGHT?!? |

Well IRL mafia takes like 10-20 minutes to play so it's not like you will be only able to play 1 game.
Just test out a bunch of setups and see what works. Don't be so tight about it lol just have fun with it. (internet twg is srs business but IRl is total fun imo) |

Ok, take 12 - 16 - 20 people (depending on your game) and force them to RP their roles throughout a long period of time. Have daily or have three or four meetings a week where people place votes and discuss stuff. When a player is lynched kill said player (preferably hung in the abandoned building where all players meet at for the meetings) When wolves wolf someone they should not clean the mess but leave no trace behind (allowing the game to continue without police interference).
Have fun. |

Pfft, Fiction is a loser.
I suppose, though, that I will end up doing Mafia. It's much quicker, though not quite as fun. |
