Okay, I was thinking about this last night....what is the point of Canadian Day?

Here is my rendision of how Canadian Day came about:

Two Canadians came down from Canada to see what "The Fourth of July" really was. They sat in awe as they looked up into the sky at all the fireworks. One man approuched them saying:

A: "Hey, You Canadians, here's one holiday you don't get to Celebrate!"

C1: "Yeah, well....we have our own holiday...."

C2: "Yeah! and it's called.....uhh....Canadian Day!!!"

C1: "Yeah, it's just like your forth of July....only better because it is Canadian."

C2: "and it comes before your holiday too."

A: "Yeah? So what exactly are you celebrating then? I mean, you don't have totally independence from England....Hell, you don't even have one National Language"

[At the same time]
C1: "Yes we do it's French"
C2: "Yes we do it's English"

C1: "It should be French because the French are so supieor and smarts!!!"

C2: "It should be English because that is the business language of the world!!"

The story ends with a fist fight.

First off it's CANADA DAY! GET IT RIGHT! Second, Frenchland is not Canada, it's some dead baby producing mutant, Canada doesn't have a guy named Bush starting wars just because we can, we have a guy with half a face that doesn't count as a canadian,

Canada Day marks the unification of four British colonies on July 1, 1867. A single piece of legislation, known as the British North America (BNA) Act, joined the present-day provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia together as one nation.

The BNA Act proclaimed "one Dominion under the name of Canada," which is why the original name of our national holiday was called "Dominion Day."

Since confederation, six more provinces and three territories were joined under the Act. In 1982, the Act was amended to include the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and to augment Canada's status from a simple 'dominion' of the British realm to that of a fully autonomous nation within its own right.

The Act was then renamed the Constitution Act, and Dominion Day was renamed Canada Day.
