Questions About SM

I don't have SM and I really want it, but I'm afraid that it might give my computer viruses and make it run slower. Will any of that happen after I download it, or am I just being paranoid?

Do you really think that everybody would play it if it gave your computer viruses and made it slower? Come on now. Stepmania will not slow down your system at all. You sound like my Mom does when she talks about downloading new programs.

Some sites tag malicious content in downloads or someone might upload the file with malicious content. I somehow still had the install from the stepmania site (which is the upload link I posted)

My laptop's by all mean not a war-machine and SM always runned fine on it. You're being really paranoid but I can totally understand why you're thinking this.
The most famous Stepmania sites are the one to be trusted. I never got a virus for downloading something that was stepmania related. And I NEVER heard any virus related story about Stepmania so really, you can totally trust that game.
