I really feel for you. I know it is difficult. On the bright side though, your browser should be able to cache each level so that when you play it a second time, it will not have to load again. I wish I could ease your pain.

Cheers,

You do realize that you're lucky to have 56k? Science dictates that a phone line can't transmit more than 33.4k a second worth of information in analog signals.

Then someone got the bright idea to make the download speed digital, and the upload analog. Thus, the modern 56k/33.4k modem.

thank your lucky stars. You should have a 33.4k.

SotN, that is the strangest reply anyone could ask for. Be thankful you have 56k... I guess I should be EXTREMELY thankful for my cable then.

Damn straight. Back in my time, we didn't even have this Internet thing. Why our idea of a classroom computer was sitting in front of a monochrome Apple monitor typing in answers to math equations and then marking out when the bear did a flip because we got the answer right. If we needed information, we had to walk there and ask ourselves, not click a mouse.

I remember my totally L337 AppleIIB(or something like that). Top of the line piece of shit. I Remember the blue loading screen that would say "One Moment Please" and about 5 minutes later BOOM! 16 bits of freakin color!

Totally. Exactly what I was talking about. There was this one game called McGee(I think) that me and my cousins played like 24/7...

Hehe, I was sitting in front of a monochrome Apple screen in comp class too. We had only one game, OregonTrail. It was the really old (and most fun, Ive played newer ones) version.

And a typing game came later. Spell "mouse" and a mouse appears on screen! OMG!!! I'M LEARNING AND HAVING FUN!!! TEH MOUSY IS SO CUTE!!!! (my first reaction, minus the "teh")

ok heres some help:

first, goto Tools=> Options and Select Settings from the second set of options

Then make sure you select 'automatically' and this means that FFR will only update when the file changes, IE all new versions will work automatically, but you will always get the up daetd version when one is created, so synth's 'make sure you clear you cache' will be irrelivent to you

If IE still doesnt cache your stuff, your Temporary Internet Files must be full, so go back to Tools=>Options=>Settings and move the slider up. You may also want to clear your files, as this can help. Do this by clicking Tools=>Options and selecting 'delete files' and also chek 'delete all offline content'

These instructions are for IE, I cant help for Netscape or Opera...
