NSane Presents: The Timing System!

I've been working on this in my spare time over the past few days and promised it by the end of the week. So here you all go :]. Note: This feature will be available to subs most likely later on today.

How it works:

You select a Timing via the Settings Menu, this will increase the difficulty to PA songs (Only works for PA as of right now, will eventually have it with averages / misses as well). You then continue with the game as you normally would, only with increased difficulty. Note: The fonts are not final, I might be making changes to them as this progresses.

I hope this will spark ideas for new tourneys and bring a whole new level of competition to FFR.

Also, I posted this for everyone to see to show that we are far from dead and that within the week, mirror and the speedmods as well as the old beta should be going public.

you'll have to detail the timing standards on the new "judges", NSane. i'm interested to hear them.

Assuming default = 3 perfect frames, strict = 2, flawless = 1

How does this effect high scores? Do the scores not save? Or does it indicate what timing someone is using on the high score list? Just a bit curious.

It would be a pretty good idea to take out the space in the high score lists that used to tell which scroll was used and replacing it with the first letter of the timing they're using.

Yeah back in ancient FFR when it had a completely different layout the perfect windows were retardedly small. I got more goods than perfects on the engine lmao

This could definitely be a good addition for tournaments.

I asked NSane the same thing. However, he told me it was up to LD when to incorporate the different timing scores into the level ranks.

yea i like the idea but i guess i'm with others about how it will affect the highscores of songs :P
