Suggestion for profile customization

So yeah, I made a new BG now, and EVERY font I use is either unreadable in some parts or looks gay. And I really don't want to make the backgrounds for my gamecard etc visible, cause alot of the stuff I've made in the BG would be covered up.

So my suggestion was to maybe implement a feature to:
-Add a border to your letters,
........This way you can always read the text, cause the border distinguishes
........the text from the background.
-Add shadow behind letters,
........Kind of the same as borders, except a bit more subtle
-Allow people to change colors of individual letters.
........This way you can edit your text individually. Example: Make your text
........black on white parts of your BG and text white on the black parts, so
........it's clearly readable. This could also give the possibility of gradient
........colored texts.

I don't know if some of these features are even implementable, but it would certainly make it easier to customize your profile to your likings.

Haha Spitty, I remember you talking to me about this the other day in pro-chat.
It is an interesting idea though, it would certainly help with people who have a profile with a colorful background they want to show off but don't want to hide that background with a text block background just so others can read their profile without highlighting.

This isn't a thread to bashsomeone. He simply asked for suggestions, not trolls. If you don't have anything useful to input, don't post anything at all.

Back to topic, I'm not really the person to add very much to this because I'm worse than anyone when it comes to photoshop .

Why needy? I only suggested what I wanted, not demanding it + lots of people would benefit from this.

And HTML won't be implemented, mainly cause it easy to do "stuff" with it.

I'm totally on your side for changing the profile customization. In fact, I think its absolutely terrible trying to well.... read the profiles lol.

I agree with xollner. For the advanced users, there could be an implemented "advanced settings or something to that nature."

I know you can make most parts of your profile invisible so they won't cover up your background.

On your three suggestions, the first two kind of seem doable, but the third sounds like it would require an overhaul of the style editor, so I don't know.

I'll see if I can poke an admin to see what they think.

If I add shadows, it would end up making the profiles so painfully slow that everyone would bitch.

Hint: Use a background color that works with the text.
