    then evaded again
    ended in permaban

      Ahhhh actually I think I remember him from fantasy football last year...MrZombie didn't want to let him in but we were short on players (of course, I won =P).

        "Containment diagnostics complete. Access points obtained." The voice from offscreen bears the message that everyone is waiting to hear. "Yes! Everything's ready, Commander," Dr. Meine announces.

        "Good," he replies. "This is it, comrades. The final moments are upon us."

        A revered silence fills the room as Commander Zell slowly steps up to the main console.

        "Care to be the one to make history, Commander?"

        "Thank you."

        The commander initiates the launch sequence. The countdown begins, the words echoing in the hearts and minds of everyone. After what seems an eternity, the number 0 flashes on the screen, with the fateful, final word spoken at long last:

        "Launch."

        And then everything goes black.

        "Wha...What's happening?!"

        "What's going on?"

        Panicked voices permeate the darkness. It is clear to everyone that something has gone very wrong. The burning red glow of emergency lights appear throughout the hallway, and alarm klaxons sound.

        "Hey!"

        "We've been infiltrated?"

        "We need to get out of here!"

        A small group of personnel rushes in from offscreen. They make a break for the side hallways, only to have steel doors slam down in front of them.

        "No!"

        "Use the keycards!"

        They try to get through the doors, but to no avail. Their keycards are deemed invalid.

        "You've gotta be kidding!"

        "The blast doors! Try the console codes!"

        The panicked group tries to unlock the sealed doors, but are no more successful than the last time.

        "The console's messing up!" cries one of the group. "There's so much interference!"

        "Keep trying!" urges another. "Hey, what the..."

        He is the first to notice. Several metal rods, it seems, emerging from slots in the walls. "What are those--"

        A faint electric hum sounds, and suddenly the hallway is flooded with electricity. Their bodies twitch wildly as they scream in pain. Their final choking cries are lost in static.

        "What the hell is going on?!" Commander Zell shouts at the screen. There is no video feed, only "EMERGENCY: VIDEO SIGNAL OFF" in pulsing red letters.

        "We don't know," comes Dr. Meine's trembling voice over the radio. "We just got our system back online. We're performing a scan."

        "Did it launch?!!"

        "Wait, we've got a report...oh, no, no, damn it, damn it, DAMN IT!!!"

        "What happened???"

        "The Chimera Code has infected the mainframe! Repeat, we are infected!"

        "NO!"

        "We can't shut the system down, it's t---we---"

        "You're breaking up! Do you read, Dr. Meine"

        All that answers is static.

        "Dr. Meine, do you read?!"

        The static ends. The commander and his soldiers stand there in shock. At a moment's notice, several turrets descend from the ceiling. The soldiers hardly have time to respond before they are slaughtered....

        "No!" cries Professor Raine. "It's infected the entire system. We're trapped!"

        "Is there anything you can use to get this door open?" asks his companion.

        He stops suddenly, and shock comes across his face.

        "It can't be...."

        But it is. The containment console for #000 flickers and dims. The containment fluid begins to drain from the capsule.

        The professor can only stand and stare at what was his greatest work.

        "Raine..." Her voice is fearful and breathless.

        "No..."

        "YES...."

        The voice does not come from her, but from him...

        He is aware now, aware of the blazing red eyes that are open now, gazing into his.

        #000 lives.

        The containment capsule bursts in a sudden explosion of shattered glass, slashing the professor to shreds. His creation tosses the ruined body of his creator aside like a ragdoll.

        She screams in terror and starts to flee, but remembers too late that there is nowhere for her to go...

        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        In the computer system, The Chimera Code was just malicious software, a program with no self-awareness. When it entered #000, everything changed. It had control of a mind and a body – a sentient host. It could think and feel, and once it became accustomed to this new level of consciousness and intelligence, and realized its potential, its first thought was to exterminate the weak organic beings that had dared to control it. #000 broke out of his containment capsule, slaughtered every person he could find, and left the laboratory in ruins.
        From then on, things became steadily worse. Not only was The Chimera Code a threat to technology everywhere; Now inside a semi-organic host, it was eventually able to assemble proteins to assume a physical form, becoming a vicious, mutagenic viral epidemic. #000, soon learning to control the organisms and machines he infected, amassed an army of mutated creatures and infected war machines and traveled across the land, leaving death and destruction in his wake.
        2 months later, the Chimera-infected legions have nearly dominated the entire continent. Many survivors have fled to underground colonies and shielded cities to protect themselves. The greatest of these is Alkem City, a highly fortified megalopolis reaching above as well as below the ground. High in a watchtower near the northern extremity of the city’s ground level, members of Mobius, the most highly decorated security force of Alkem City, are on break; relaxing, enjoying a delicious lunch, talking cheerfully amongst themselves...completely oblivious to what is about to transpire.
                    Hmmm, I just finished the other TWG I had obligations to, and I was kind of interested in playing in this one, but it seems that I'd have to fill the role of substitute.
                    I'll be a substitute if someone needs it I suppose. Tps7910 is my AIM address, get at me there.
I can let Tps in and you can play in the other, or not play at all. I'm just asking because you've expressed disinterest.
