My mystery game will be relatively simple. No items, no areas, no supercomplicated class specific shop item pain points or whateverthe****. Just people and their roles. This game will have multiple factions other than wolves and humans. Some of these groups will span both parties. Each group has objectives, some of which may not sit well with another group's. You may have to choose where your allegiance lies.

you know, i really have to agree with fiction on this one. all of these games are so role-based, ive lost all ability to use any form of deduction, reason, or deception in any game. I guarantee you if someone was to host a normal game without all the extra odds and ends, all of us older members would enjoy it a lot more. i hardly even participate in games when i dont have a role because role usage has become so important in these games its unfun if you have no role.

The old TWG games had their own charms. Sure, they had extra elements, but they did not overly complicate the game or take away from the core elements of TWG. The reason this died in the first place was for this exact reason.

THE GAMES BECAME TOO COMPLICATED AND UNFUN.

I realize a lot of the new folks are into these highly role-charged games, but you guys are missing half the fun of the game with all the **** that has been added in. I am all up for a roll-back to the good times.

I guarantee you fiction would play if the games were played based on deduction and ability to detect lying and what have you istead of what role you are with what item where, when and why while trying to juggle a time bomb thats been strapped to your chest for 3 phases and if you dont find so-and-so you die and then 3 other people die because they are in close proximity to your area.

Its dumb. Truly dumb.

Now, rzr. Just stop. Your games are overly convoluted and make no sense. To top it off, you then act like an ass when someone tells you your game sucks. Shut up already.

In conclusion, I think this game should be simple. I suggest someone review the history of TWG and model their game after one of the games previous, before this usergroup died.

Just remember, the vets left because it wasnt TWG anymore, and thats exactly what this is becoming. I mean honestly, if this is how every game is going to be, rename the game.

This doesnt mean more complex games shouldnt be played. A change is good every once in a while, but we play overly complicated games EVERY TIME.

Im done ranting. Someone please make a simple game. I want to play TWG, not item and role orgyfest 2008 revision markVII v2.1.5 to the x factor z prime delta.

also for those of you who don't know, we played a time travel game about a year or something ago and then everyone left. so it is the overly complicated games that made all the vets leave (it's why i left too)
