1 handers are better at jacks, than either spread or index. Nothing else though.

Index/3-finger are the best for PAing stream, and runningmen; spread is the best for PAing anything else. Or at least it's easier to get a better PA on stream and runningmen.

Streams are easy, Jumps are easy, but consecutive jump spasms aren't. (Like Sympathizers red, yellow, blue, yellow, red sections.)

Re: Are 1 Handers Prone To Be More Accurate?

I don't think accuracy has much to do with how you play. I say "much to do with" because....

Well, when I played with one hand (3 fingers), I had over 60 AAAs, going as high as difficulty 6. I AAAed stuff like That Tethnic Vibe, Horizon, PARANOiA ~Darkness Mix~, She Bangs (for those who think jumps are impossible with one hand), Speed Kitty (which was a sightread AAA by the way).... I even AAAed Crystalis back in the day.

When I switched to spread, my PA was abysmal. But then, I switched to spread a month or so ago. Just today I AAAed 6 different songs. {Red Alert}, Go Go Go Power Rangers, Z, Less Talk More Rokk, Victims And Martyrs, Deep Breath, and I was less than 100 notes off from AAAing Sensorium (and then my wrist finally tired out).

So, I really think accuracy (PA) has to do with how much you practice, and how natural you are at timing. I've had just about perfect timing all my life, so as long as I'm comfortable with how I'm playing, I have really good accuracy. Other people can't even keep a beat. Those are the kind of people that will struggle to have naturally good PA in FFR.

Think of it as this, Person A and B start playing FFR/SM at the same time. Person A decides spread would be a good style whilst Person B decides one handing would be easier. 2 months later Person A can FC "Challenging" songs whilst Person B can only FC "Tricky" songs. This shows you that we have a slower improvement than other styles.. (In a broad perspective)

No, but some people like to use their middle finger to hit both the up and down keys.. I never heard of hitting two keys with one finger before, I always hit my jumps with two fingers..
(Leaving out "up" and "down" out of the picture.)

              One hand=3 fingers..

In some cases, people use their middle finger to hit the up and down jumps, but I do not.

Two handers have a better advantage. It's easier, but I only use one.

Re: Are 1 Handers Prone To Be More Accurate?

To be honest, I generally thought PA was all down to one's sense of timing and how well their fingers can respond to such timings. According to everyone else it's far more dependant on play style than I previously thought. But as far as I know, it's generally much easier to improve in general when you play spread, which would leave me the conclusion that experienced spread players generally have better PA than everyone else, including one handers who have the same length of experience.

I wouldn't know how well I stand up though. I've played around 1000 games on FFR over around 7 months and have achieved around 110 FCs (two or three of those being challenging songs) and 4/5 AAAs (one being tricky). That and I've always played 4 fingered. Someone use me as an example for something, because I'm still not to sure how I'd be placed in this debate.

                    It's the same thing rofl

Indexers have the best accuracy if they have the speed. I know when I play index I either AAAA a run or screw it up horribly and get misses and greats and all kinds of bad stuff. I'm not that great of an indexer, but I still feel how I'm more accurate on index on runs have enough index speed for.

EDIT @ OP: The only things one-handers have an advantage on are jumpjacks; songs like AIM Anthem are much easier to coordinate with one hand.

i play spread with the occasional 1 hand and my PA is about the same either way the only difference is that spread i can fc anything up to VC whilst 1 handed i can only fc up to difficult. i think its just about experience. also everyone differers no two people are the same and practice counts

                            lol. Thread.

I don't think this is a one hander vs. 2 hander issue. You just either have good PA or you don't.

Since your ability to PA revolves around the fact that you must move your fingers at a certain pace then it'd probably be easier to do w/ more fingers

It's been said like 4 times already huh?

And I know what you're talking about with those damned indexers. Always AAAing and BFing songs they need not.
