      Re: jTWiG LXII (61): Postgame

Hahahaha well, as I told dance, sometimes I can be really dimwitted. I think it happened for me for half of the game.

To be honest I didn't even consider the chance of rzr and Little Bear being in the same team. I guess I should have. Leaving that aside, at least there was some...discussion between me and my partners in our Sovereign Nation of the Green Overlords. I was 100% sure that Vendetta was a Vigi, and that there was two left.

In Day 1 Senip was the first player I talked to, and all my actions went through him, although I wasn't sure he was Green until some hours later. Then I shared with him my suspicions about Vendetta, and much to my surprise, he agreed! I didn't know how to prove my hunch until I decided to vote Lumphobo and see if Vendetta reacted.

It was priceless. The response was more than I expected, and I went around asking to those I was told was interested on voting Vendetta.

Then in Day 2, when pokelda had joined officially as Green, there was much less discussion, for some reason. At times I felt I was the only one talking, and looking back, it was. I don't remember a single useful contribution from pokelda, and I'm not sure about Senip either. Not on AIM so I can't check.

So, based on behaviors and other things, we had marked danceguy and Gun as possible Vigis. We focused on danceguy to see if we could manage to get a definite read on him, using his votes on Senip. I slowly revealed information, trying to see if he would react too quickly or too slowly. But he did it right, and I ended marking him as a non-vigi.

Then yoman came into play. After a discussion with danceguy where I asked for evidence about yoman's affirmations...well, I think I left my guard down and let myself be convinced easily. Erased Gun as a possible Vigi, formed my theories about the teams and had yoman as first and Viccicca as the next in line.

I would have never thought of killing Lumphobo. He was the last player I had hoped to be Vigi. I tried to define if he would be active enough to follow his partners' plans and kill, but later I decided that he wouldn't and that it would be noticeable in the thread, I wanted to see if anybody seemed to be upset or anything. Nobody seemed to fit so...I left Lumphobo for last.

So, looks like I only got 1/3 right, and that was just at the very end. I was confident that with our three votes we would have control on the game, at least creating KitB, but the four votes against yoman surprised me. I didn't know what to do.

I know the feeling of thinking you know what is going on and then at the very end it gets ripped away from under you. You go from feeling smart and possibly in control to feeling dumb and incompetent. Everything I did was based on the simple fact that I thought lump had sent in his kill and since jrod was still alive, I started to put pieces together based on that bit of info. I felt like I had managed to do so well in this game and improve as a player and in the end, I just feel dumber than I did before.

I treated the game like a crapshoot and then sidelined to get V lynched.

That's about it. Dance carried our team.
          Dear sirs,

Oh, I know that feeling. I once thought I had solved the game and found the three wolves. I backed it up with an argument composed of twelve points and explained in a detailed way the relation between the players and my interpretations of the facts.

At the end the three I thought was wolves were all humans, and the two I trusted the most were wolves. Hell, I even thought I knew the Seer and I was wrong about that too.

This was more my own responsibility and astounding play by the wolves but it still made me feel stupid.

j-rodd did 95% of the team's AIM legwork. I almost screwed the pooch a couple of times. I actually copy-pasted an entire conversation I had with pokelda... to pokelda. Whoops.

Don't get discouraged! Getting duped is in the nature of TWG. Next game, you could be the one tricking others into chasing their own tails. Plus, the problem with your information was entirely out of your control and should never have happened.

I didn't feel I got duped, I just had a train of thought that was comprised by what my teammates provided me. So I guess in a sense, my teammates duped me?

                      Manti: yup.
                      Gun: yup.

One last thing I'd like to go over. This conversation with Kraut weighed on my mind throughout the whole game.

if the vigi on a team dies, that team can only win by lynching everyone remaining on the target team, if I'm understanding correctly.
that means they're in it for the long haul at that point

                      nflorezrojas
Oh God, I just had a sudden thought about your words.
For some reason I pictured Senip looking for soembody to lynch because rzr was on his/her team.
I don't know if Senip would do that.
It kinda would fit, now that I think.
                      12:57 PM

hmm, in the case that we were discussing, that would indeed make sense
                      12:59 PM

I think that only holds merit if rzr was on Senip's team, and was the vigi.
but it would definitely explain a lot

                      nflorezrojas
To be honest I do think rzr was a Vigi.

                      it's certainly possible
that would be +1 for the humans. haha
                      1:00 PM

                      nflorezrojas
                      humans

                      nflorezrojas
Either way, rzr was supposedly wanting to find the Greens to isolate them.
I think that only a Vigi would be worried about that.
You know, because Vigis have to die for the Greens to win.
                      1:01 PM

"humans" and "greens" are synonymous, right?
                      hmm that's true
                      1:02 PM

                      nflorezrojas
                      Eh, maybe.
The thing is, I'm somewhat concerned about Senip now. To me he/she could be a candidate to lynch, if I were the one to pick it. Of course it is early and it can change.
                      1:03 PM

                      early indeed
we will all have to vote at some point, though

Kraut, the idea of you wanting to lynch rzr's hypothetical teammate confused me thoroughly. Of course, I was actually the one who wanted to take out rzr's teammates. Were you trying to bait me into going after Senip?

I thought you were Rock for a good portion of the game. I figured if you posted this conversation publicly, you'd be green. If you were faction, you would keep any information to yourself in the hopes of picking out a night-kill target.

Eh, it was the first try of a somewhat flawed strategy, based on rzr's death and finding out if people would want to lynch him.

I don't remember all the details as I scrapped the whole plan, but it was mostly a test to verify opinions about rzr and Senip.

It is true that I used to think rzr could have been a Vigi, but later I found logic stuff that pointed there was no chance of that happening.
