I've got a good 'ole first gen DS, and I've bought more games for it than any other console. Oh yeah the graphics could definitely be improved, but well crafted games are well crafted.

My favorites on the DS:
Phantom Hourglass
COD4 World at War
Metroid Prime Hunters
Mario Kart
Assassin's Creed

Like seriously, I find it so much fun swinging link's little sword around with the stylus, as well as the handwriting recognition built into the game. FPS on the DS is just plain fun. It was one of the genres I knew would be fun on it, and they really are extremely fun.

In somewhat related news, I also have a Wii and PS2. I like Nintendo's console style - it's always focused on gameplay rather than graphics. (But seriously.. the DS is VERY low poly :/ could've been a lot better with even the slightest improvement)

That said, if I was rollin' with cash, I'd definitely get a 360 + PSP as well.

I lived on Linden Lane in Leawood for two years back when I was 13... good times back then

Anyway, the DS needs to have more Mario side-scrolling games, and less of the recycled garbage they regurgitate into the market to milk money from the consumer. And on the subject of Pokemon, they need to stop running that franchise into the ground...
