This can work one of two ways for McCain.
1) The Clinton supporters flock to McCain's side because he picked a woman VP and on the higher-chance that he kicks the bucket, we'll have a female president.
2) The Clinton supporters feel offended that McCain thinks such an obvious trick will work on them and do as Clinton recommends--support Obama.
Honestly, besides being next in line for the role of President of the United States and arguably the most powerful position on Earth, but even as VP she'll be the President of the Senate. Someone with that little experience in running politics leading the Senate? It seems pretty unlikely to me. I mean, Obama has a few years of being a Senator under his belt, but Palin has no national government experience whatsoever. If she was an extremely promising politician that learns and adapts quickly, then I could overlook that, but that doesn't appear to be the case.Comment

But seriously, this was a really stupid move on McCain's part. But, knowing the U.S., It'll be viewed as another 'forward thinking' stunt, and be praised. And he'll get a metal or something.

You know, I have to wonder if McCain and his entourage were paying attention to who Obama chose, and when Obama didn't choose Hillary, McCain decided to pick up on the choice of a female vp candidate. I can't say it was history making choice, because there was Geraldine Ferraro in 1984, chosen by Walter Mondale.Comment

Not bad at all.
Speaking of her pro-life choices, she decided to keep her fifth child after finding out that he would have Downes Syndrome. That's better than I'd do. No offense to those of you who have loved ones who are mentally disabled, but personally I'd either take the abortion or put the child up for adoption.
There are people who would be so much better taking care of the child than I'd be able to. I agree with Jurs.
Except I do not think that everyone should be pro-choice, you should have the choice to be pro-life. ...Just please keep it a personal decision and don't shove it down the pro-choicers' throats, thanks.

I think that everyone should be pro-choice in all aspects of their life. You can have the choice to be pro-choice, the choice to be pro-life, the choice to lie, the choice to cheat, etc.
But you have to pay the consequences.
