After I beat it, I went on GameFAQs and they had up to the third dungeon finished. That was the only thing on GameFAQs. Two walkthroughs, one of which wasn't even close to the second dungeon.

I swear, you kids need to learn how to read things. I bought the game launch day and beat it less than a week later while playing Sports, Red Steel, and Monkey Ball, along with going to work. The only guide out at that point was the magazine-esque guide in the stores, and I'd rather die than to pay money for those.

You wanna know how I did it? Fine. I've been playing Zelda games since the late eighties. Probably since before you were born. Playing them all multiple times through and getting a feel for how Miyamoto likes his games pretty much tells you exactly what he plans to do next. Of course, he mixes it up a bit, but the general format is the same. Use the overworld to find the next dungeon. In the dungeon, you have six goals.

    1) Get the map.
    2) Get the compass.
    3) Kill the mini-boss.
    4) Receive the dungeon item.
    5) Beat the dungeon boss using said item.
    6) Get what you came for and leave.

I swear you all act like 35 hours is impossible to do, when all I see on gaming boards is that the average time of completion is 35 hours.

I stopped playing mine and I'm at like 2x hours, I don't rush and hurry to beat the game as fast as I can, that's a waste of money to honestly. I'm still playing it, sort of, havn't touched it in 3 weeks or so... maybe I'll go do some more of it.

The Hyrule Field music is pretty kickass.

Re: *Spoiler Warning*Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess Discussion.

I beat it in just under 49 hours, but I left the game on a number of times in the Temple of Time and the Water Temple.

I laughed at danceguy's comments. I too had those same difficulties. Me and my friend were RETARDED when it came to the statue and it's use to attack. We actually didn't even use it to break the first gate, we teleported out using ooccoo, and kept the gate open.

Needless to say, I didn't get the heart container in that temple because you need to break everything, and I didn't. So I was pissed when I read the FAQ afterward.

Regardless the game was amazing, and so was it's soundtrack. I beat it with 19 4/5ths hearts, 48-52 poes, can't remember. I didn't do the cave of ordeals though. I did the first 10 waves with the intention of going back later, but I went on beat the game and never came back. But yeah.

And honestly, you make it sound like it's impossible to do. Now that I know what to do, I could easily get that. You know how many times I left the game sitting there while I did other things? The answer is a lot. You know how many times I got stuck in dungeons? Maybe once out of half of the dungeons there was something that delayed me for about half an hour. Some of the dungeons were totally straightforward for me.

ps I had all of the weapon upgrades, all of the bugs, and all of the heart containers before I beat the game. I just had 30 poes and none of the fishing stuff done. And I never went into the cave since I wanted to keep the bottle for the last fight, just to be sure.

Prove the noob wrong, take a pic.

Up to about 50 hours now, and I'm just getting to Hyrule Castle. The games been fun so far without too many problems (since I've racked up about 20 hours leaving the game paused while at school and other people's houses). I do think, however, that the bosses kept getting easier as I went through the game. Also, Zant was a HUGE letdown to me. I thought he would be someone who would actually cause problems, but he was just a wuss. I'm going to go poe and bug hunting, then finish the game.

I completed the game in about 30 hours with 18 heart pieces and 3 shards. I'm going to do what I do to all games. Complete my own way and by myself first time round. Leave it for a bit. Then completely 100% the game second time round with the help of a guide when I need a guide. I really don't think i'll need a guide much. Only when I get annoyed at not finding a poe or bug or something. Everything else seems easy enough for me.

Last time I about 80% the game last time anyway. I only need to find a few more bugs, poes, heart containers and fish. I did the Cave and all the mini games like.

I'm at around 34 hours, 15 and 2/5ths Heart Pieces, 5 Bugs, 22 Poes, All four bottles, Missing one fish, at Hyrule Castle.

I didn't get stuck too much in the game only a few places like the Temple of Time and the Sky Temple. One thing that was annoying was how some dungeons had an insane amount of rupees to me, which I had to warp out and donate to Malo Mart to get them.

Still need to find the Cave of Ordeals and beat it.

Ugh, just tryed to play 10 minutes ago and found out that my wavebird is broke, it thinks the control stick is always stuck in a down position when turning on, so I can't go backwards or move much.

I just beat the sky temple and i decided to start doing some of the sidequests.
In the cave of ordeals i got to where you have to battle the three guys that are covered in armor and when you slash off all the armor they are faster and whatnot. Btw, whats the best combination of thing to put in your bottles for the cave? Ive got 3 and i usually just have 2 fairies and fairies tears and then i scoop that gold-silver blob thing if i have an empty bottle.
Ive got about 50 poes and i might need to read a FAQ to get the last ones. Btw, ROFL about the unlimited rubies you get for finishing the sidequest and being able to combine it with the magic armor XP.
I just beat that star mini game to get the 99 arrow quiver. Ive got pretty much every kind of item except most of the fish hooks and i think im just going to plain give up on the bugs cause i dont think its worth it and i already went past a lot of them without realising that they were bugs and i really dont wanna go back.
I kinda didnt like how in this game you didnt have a musical device like in OoT because it took so long to get your little horse call thing the girl gives you and before that you had to look for the little plants if you wanted epona.
Also, i thought the last ability you learn from that skeleton guy was kinda lame. Im all for a more powered up spin but im almost never at full health and if you lose even just 1/4 of a heart it doesnt work. I guess i just thought some of the other attacks were cooler.
Took me for freaking ever to realise what i had to do in the water temple and in the temple of time i was retarded and didnt realise i could hookshot the little metal turtle shell things up to the platform to get the boss key. I did like though how in the sky temple you had to think kind of outside the box by hanging down from the ceiling through the fan and then grapple to that cage to get the fan going that allows you to get to the boss room.

Bugs are worth it. You get the biggest wallet from them all and they're pretty easy to find.

Lures aren't worth it unless you really like fishing. The means by which you obtain the lures will drive you insane.

That room with the 3 Iron Knights at the same time is the last room. You were so close ><

That room alone took me about 20 minutes to win. And the only reason I survived the Cave at all was because one of the Purple Chu Jellies I drank (after two that hurt me down to 1/4 of a heart) healed me entirely before I continued on.

Well whats the use in the biggest wallet if you have unlimited rupees?
I always saw fishing as kind of pointless anyway.
Seriously..?? I cant believe i was that close, i used my magic armor until i had absolutely 0 rupees left and since i didnt have anything in my bottles i had to do it very carefully. I think i got one defeated, ones amor off, and most of the armor off the other one. Or maybe i defeated 2 and the last had all of his armor on... i cant remember, all i know is that it was very frustrating trying to fight with a half heart left.
