I think your color is fine, Magenta. White's is the only one that sucks.

Haha, I just had a thought. If roles weren't randomly assigned (I assume they were), Magenta would have to be a Patriot.

    "In another dimension,
    With voyeuristic intention,
    Well secluded, I see all."

And the Patriots get to find out who went where, you know? Eh? Eh? Please tell me someone gets it...

I'm of the personal opinion that we should be sharing information publically or not at all. If you find just one other person to tell your information as a "failsafe", you coudl play into the Patriots' hands to allow a systematic picking off with no one else knowing. Also,
Campbell, do you have any idea of the security in the building, and do we have authorization to use deadly force if needed?

Damn, orange isn't a very good color, either. What do you guys think? I like it, but won't use it if it's a problem.

And things will surely liven up once we have some good information (or lies, who knows?) at our disposal.

I don't think the custom colors are really needed. Colorized avatars/sigs are good enough, in my opinion.

Maroon, you shouldn't just tell somebody as a failsafe, no. There are times where you might want some insurance, though. For example, if you happen to be in the same room as somebody else, you might announce on the boards, "I am in *room number* with *color of person*. I will not attack him, so if I die, he's a red." This would discourage both greens and reds from attacking people like that, and pretty much limits the reds to use of the gas room only. Of course, deaths aren't announced, so somebody would have to check the room afterwards to see if the person is dead. But remember, reds realize that and may lurk around waiting for people that may come looking for bodies.

This leads me to a question: the history thing or whatever it's called. I know it tells who has been in a room before, but will it tell what happened in that room? Could it say, for example: "Magenta and Rainbow entered on Day 3. Magenta died."? Or will it just say who was there on what days?

Founders' security check of the building shows that there are dozens of guards, but only eight on patrol at a time - one per floor. The guards do not leave their floor at any time on their patrols.

You all have been in FOXHOUND long enough to know that your number one priority is not to be seen by the enemy. If they know you're they're, they're far more capable to stop you from continuing your mission.

I didn't give you those SOCOMs for nothing, though. Every guard in this exercise is considered an enemy soldier. You are free to engage them at your discretion, but do not leave traces of your presence.

And when have we been friendly enough for you to call me "Campbell"?

Magenta is putting out some great ideas, but the critical thing in my mind is that everyone keep detailed logs of what rooms they've been in, and what days, and once two people have been mutually seen, they may build this information, and continue adding others. This combined with the seperate floor browsing should allow a map of the facilities to be put together fairly quickly and accurately. There are always exceptoins with switch terminals, hacks, and patriot infiltration of the information alliance, but these can generally be filtered out with the occasional overlapping of data (intentional or by coincidence) as a means of confirmation for the more important locations especially.

I also beleive strongly in stating publicly when you find yourself in a room with another person. This greatly inhibits the actions that the wolves can take, as we agents can all agree that performing a vigilante would not be beneficial to the humans, and is best left to the lynching process, and thus the only good reason to kill is to remove a guard or if you are a patriot. This agreement would put the humans in a very good position, and I should hope that everyone is aware, that if a person who announced being in the same room as you is later found dead on that day, you will be lynched on the spot.

Also be aware that the wolves can play dead by simply not talking. Unless we run into them or happen upon the megalocator terminal, we would have no way of knowing they are alive, and they could use this technique to frame a human. This being said, regardless of activity, assume everyone is alive until proven dead. I should expect the wolves won't even try this, especially early in the game, because there is such a great chance of later finding out that they are alive.

Final word, regardless of all other consideration, if you find a room that is critical to human victory, ie a power generator room or the weaponry room, I feel that this must be announced publicly. I'm assuming these, unlike terminals, cannot be switched or hacked, and if we get all this into the open as soon as it is descovered, there is nothing to stop the humans from reaching a swift victory in the destruction of Ghost.

If these instructions are regarded by every agent, then we have little need to fear the patriots, as they have little means of offence against us and all we need to do is worry about collection of the needed information and execute our mission. The patriots, in my opinion, are pinned from the get-go, so lets clean this place up and lose as few agents as possible. If there are any way the patriots can circumvent this strategy that I have not noticed, please bring it up quickly so that an adaption can be made to render any patriot attacks as difficult and unsafe as possible.

I will be selecting a room on floor A

I'm surprised that you're treating each other so suspiciously. It's almost as if you expect one of your own comrades to attack you.

                  This doesn't feel right.

Too true, Colonel. There had been talks that at least one of us would attack anyone he came across, for self-defense purposes. As Indigo reiterated, this would be a stupid thing to do, and would get the person lynched. Speaking of which, are we all supposed to be voting no lynch or what? I figure I might as well get that out of the way.

To add on what Indigo said, I also think game-winning objectives should be announced when found. Also, any rooms that aren't really beneficial to either side (I can't remember if there are any such rooms) might as well be announced, just so we can figure things out. Also, though I'd hope this goes without saying, DO NOT TELL ANYBODY IF YOU FIND A GAS TERMINAL UNLESS YOU'VE SEERED THEM, ARE A HACKER, AND ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE THEY ARE NOT A PATRIOT AGENT. We cannot let the reds get ahold of such a thing.

Although, now that I've just said that, I thought of a semi-good but risky idea. Perhaps let it be known that that room is a gas terminal, but either post a guard or two (warrior class, of course) or just have some warriors go by and check on it every once in a while. If a Patriot agent comes in the room to use the gas, the guard will be able to kill them. If several Patriots come in order to overpower the guard, the guard will post who came into the room. Those players would both be lynched. Though this is risky and may directly lead to the death of a friendly agent, it may be an effective way to either catch enemies or keep them from using the gas. If we all agree to not kill each other then gas will be the only way the Patriots have left to eliminate us. If one warrior class stays in the gas chamber and promises to announce if anyone comes in and then kill them, it will make the reds unable to even try. They could possibly send two and overpower the lone guard, but then we would know two of our enemies for sure.

I'm not sure though which plan to go with. Opinions, anyone? Tell and post a guard or keep it very hush hush?

Pardon us sir, we are extremely unnerved as to the integrity of this operation after patriots infiltrated the last one. I suppose we will have no real reason to become suspicious until one of us goes missing, but we cannot be too cautious. Nonetheless, as I urged the humans, we will not make any attempts to attack eachother at any point, this way there is no confusion. If someone is attacked, then it was a patriot. None of us will attempt to play god. If we have reason to beleive that our mission is being spied on internally, we will deal with the problem with a vote only.

As a side note, sir, with all due respect, you did tell us that you would give us the option of voting if we felt one of our men were a threat. If anything, you gave us reason to be nervous.

Last-minute alteration to game rules as a result of an almost critical imbalance which, if discovered, would have made the game unwinnable by the Patriots.

Patriots now have the option of using terminals during Alert Mode.

I'll explain my reasoning in more depth during postgame.

New rule by us for us: after every decision phase, especially if you reported being in a room with someone the day before, report in to say you're still alive. It's just like a guard in real life. Every so often they check in, and if they don't check in, somebody is sent to investigate.

In this game, check in at the beginning of each Movement phase. Even if you have nothing to add to discussion or findings, at least post "Checking in" or "I'm still alive!!! " or something so we know you're with us. If you don't somebody can go check the room where you *may have* died (because you ought to have reported what room you were in the night before). If they find your body, then we know that whoever was with you was a wolf, because, and I will make sure this is clear:

FOXHOUND AGENTS DO NOT KILL OTHER FOXHOUND AGENTS!!! Even if it turns out you were a FOXHOUND man all along, I don't care. You can't go around killing people for no reason, and you deserve to be lynched if you do.

                            So, to summarize:

                            1) Don't kill people unless you're a wolf.
                            2) If you're in a room with somebody, post saying what room and who is there with you.
                            3) Report during each movement phase.
                            4) If somebody doesn't report, check out the room they were in (this is a good job for warriors, who can defeats wolves).
                            5) If a body is found in a situation like that, the person who was reported as being in that room is to be lynched immediately.

So, don't worry about killing people, and don't worry about being killed. If we all follow by those rules, wolves will be unable to kill any of us because we will lynch them. That means the most damage they could do is kill 3 of us.

Very nice step by step guidelines to follow, Magenta. This should be simple enough for anyone to follow. The agents cannot lose if we all cooperate and follow these rules.

This sounds almost too good... It's getting me quite excited about this win =).

Those rules sound simple enough, yet effective; getting this organization done before the game even starts bodes really well for FOXHOUND this game.
