Played through them all, and I enjoyed all of the files :]

Above was simple and really relaxing to play hahaha
A Quick Death was really hard to read especially the 32nds, but was well stepped and I enjoyed the file
Positively Inclined RMX threw me off a bit at the 32nd part but it was enjoyable to play
The changes in the rhythms in the Crow's Newspaper threw me off as well, but likewise it was fun.

Overall, fun yet tricky files :] Kepp up the good work!

If this is about your song not coming out: be patient. There's a system involved in releasing files now, and your style of song isn't exactly of the highest priority.

It is.

But c'mon I know my song isn't the best ever, but it is good. A lot of these so called songs on FFR are imo shit. Not all, or even half but a good number of songs shouldn't be called songs, but random noise lol.

Oh well, though not like there's something I can do. I just thought that since I'm a new Artist for FFR my song release would at the least be of some priority, but that may not be the case.

Better luck next week i guess.

PS: Nice Trance track Halogen, really diggin this.

Songs are determined fairly randomly, with the only slight priority being the date of the batch it was sent in. Yours will be released eventually.

As for the song choices, you should probably keep that opinion to yourself...it sounded a bit narcissistic to me.

Prob wont be next week either, there are still a few files left in the 2/1/11 queue before the next batch starts being released.


As for the files, pretty decent batch

Above - nice little easy file, think we have enough Ikodo Moonstrife music yet? lol

A Quick Death - sweet to have another pretty high FGO, like more hard songs, but then again sucks for ranks because of all the stupid mashers.

Positively Inclined RMX - Not a fan of long songs but this one was pretty fun for 4 mins, the little 32nds bits were fun to play.

The Crow's Newspaper - Based on a couple of the intro patterns didnt think I was going to like the file, but ended up being pretty fun, cool song.

Ahh well at least I have something to look forward to every week because even if my song isn't released I know it's one week closer.

It is.

It could be worse your song could have been part of the older batch and they could have started releasing things from the newer batch before it. There's still another weeks worth of the older files to be released then there's like 38 files from the newer batch. I'm waiting for my file to get in but I'm being patient I figure I pob wont see mine in till July.

EDIT: there was one song released from the newest batch and that was I remember when because it was considered high priority because it was a new artist who will be promoting it to her fanbase which means more members to FFR (Hopefully)

The Crow's Newspaper - Based on a couple of the intro patterns didnt think I was going to like the file, but ended up being pretty fun, cool song.

If there was a "like" function on the forums, I'd give it to you here...

I'm actually not too fond of the introduction of my file anymore; those 8th/12th polyrhythms make that particular section somewhat rough to play.

It would be if it weren't true that a good deal of the released files aren't very entertaining/good/decent/not FMO/FGO. Can we get some like Index files or something that's not got mini jacks in really bad places? Those would be super fun

Last 16 releases: 10, 10, 12, 3, 10, 9, 10, 2, 9, 11, 10, 9, 6, 9, 10, 10, 7; nullifies the not FMO/FGO point.

The whole mini-jack thought (as well as other thoughts towards files) is (are) opinionated in terms of liking and disliking it (them). I will admit that a few of the newer files have mini-jacks, but that's not to say they're poorly stepped.

Nobody steps index charts anymore, because we all moved onto spread once we realized that there was a lot more freedom to step when you were allowed to make patterns for 4 fingers...

Plus, being good at index pretty much requires mastering minijacks anyway (for 24th/32nd rolls, actual minijacks, jumps near stream, etc.), so you REALLY shouldn't be complaining.

Above: A nice simple piano song that was easy to AAA (I like these a lot)

The Crow's Newspaper: OMG definitely one of my new favourite 10's, definitely one of the easier, more fun ones like Lune Noir (the steps reminded me of that) I got a BF on it the first try (but couldn't turn it into an AAA lol)

A Quick Death: Another 12 I fail at... but it's a cool song and fun steps

Positively Inclined RMX: Fun, very easy but very long 10 that was also a bit laggy... the song itself was interesting reminded me of Twister (the opening song in The World Ends With You, an amazing DS game)
