Cord in unnecessary since it only moves the wi-fi range. But other than that, it's hooked up to my USB port.

I just need to know how to confront the error. This error doesn't mean it's a default error as in, I did something wrong generally. It specifically tells me that there's an Internet Sharing Connection (Connection not as in the connector) Error.

From what I've seen, I just need to turn it off. I can't, however. SEE 1st pic.

The first picture I showed is how I turn it off, but it won't show me the configurations.

This is where I'm right.

I tried putting the cord in anyways. The same happened as usual. The same error.

It's Internet Sharing Connection Error.(5). I need to turn the switch in the off position on the sharing connection. Like I've said many, many times before, it won't let me few options on advanced. *sigh*

All I want to know is how I can at least access that panel so I can switch it off.

Unless there's an easier way.

I had this exact problem dude. I tried a few things. I even bought a third party Wifi Adapter which I do not recommend you do because it won't work either.

Let me think now to make sure. Did by chance your PC tell you about "Windows Logo blah blah blah" as well? I used to put the installation in and load the setup, then when asked to insert the Nintendo wifi adapter into a USB port, Microsoft would spazz out and try and install the drivers itself and the installation used to go downhill from there. I would get told the authentication is off and the devise is not recognized by windows logo something or other.

So anyway, if you had the same problem as me I can tell you how I fixed it but it's not a very nice way sorry :__:

Yea, turns out it was a driver issue. I had to reformat my PC (Lame I know but I really wanted my DS online and luckily I always back up my files) and install windows and stuff again to reinstall the drivers. Now in all honesty I never checked to see if I could install the drivers again from the microsoft website or something as I needed to reformat me PC anyway. It really need a big clean like.

Sorry I can't tell you exactly what drivers they are because I really don't know. I just install them all again once I reformatted. So yea, that was my problem. It wasn't the CD or the Adapter. I checked all my PC's wifi options and tried to set up wifi network but nothing like that help as it wasn't the problem in the end.

I already know what to do. It's just that I can't access a part of my computer, strangely enough. *sigh*

I bet it'll be all worth it once I play diamond online. (since you can use your mic to chat with others) Let's just hope there's a solution for me.

Going to call the nintendo people soon.. They'll know what's up. Heck, I might post what they said if it proved useful and successful. I'm not the only one with this problem out there.

I bought one of those, but unfortunately for you, it worked for me. It's very strange that you can't even manually set up a network connection. I think the problem you're having is specific to your computer in some way, but I'm not sure. This might be a duh statement, but if you're not the admin or have the same privileges, then try to run it on admin. If that's not the case, I can make a few guesses like maybe it has something to do with your modem if provided by an isp that has some networking restrictions built into it, well the admin thing pretty much takes care of the other guesses. Sorry if this post just wasted your time because it doesn't apply.

In the past I have tried it on all accounts in this family computer of mine.

All of them failed, unsurprisingly enough.

Nintendo wouldn't pick up their damn phones, so I had to email them about it.

Now it's time to wait a week, or I'll just call them tomorrow. (Which I most likely will)

I should of bought something problem-free.

I bought one for my Nintendo Wii and it works great. I'm not sure what could be the problem, but maybe:

You don't have the proper user permissions to set-up a networking sharing device (log onto an administrator name if not).
Your firewall is disallowing the installation.

That's all I can think of.

I tried calling nintendo again today. I held the phone for 1 hour then hanged it up.

Why won't they pick up their phone? I waited long enough.

The last things I might have to resort to is either calling DELL or waiting for that sent email to come back..

Faulty merchandise sucks.
