what is the best modern multiplayer fps?

i was just wondering if any of you guyz know any moddern fps games are out there for pc. I was playing warrock but they closed there server till friday so yeah i need a game to player. just give the ones u have in mind please.

I could say that about RPG's too, and than you would get slightly annoyed and almost reply back with all the differences between the games.

Yes. Great game, and free. I've played for about 2 and a half years, started after my CS 1.6 team couldnt make it out of CAL-O for like 6 seasons :P So if you play ET and have a clan - tell me so we can get a scrim or something. Also hit up our server

Then go download Wolfenstein: ET right now. It's completely free. I love iD. They get halfway through making an expansion and quit, but decide to release it anyway, and it's STILL better than most other games. What a great company.

But really, what kinds of FPS games do you like? I like objective games, not just deathmatches, which is why I love Battlefield/Enemy Territory. If you like pure deathmatch type stuff, then you probably wouldn't like those, but you'd like Halo/CounterStrike/Unreal quite a bit.

CS:S is no doubt the best FPS at the moment for PC. Of course that cost like $20-30 so you are out of luck. Or maybe just to lazy to get a job. =P

Now I am a computer gamer, I play many, and get this.

Enemy Territory, in my opinion, has the greatest and most entertaining objective series in any game I have ever played. Ever.

I swear, just think of all of the fun times you've had advancing the tank in Goldrush, sneaking in with a covert ops and an engineer in that snow place, and bombing the two railguns in that desert place. It is amazing.

Not to mention you can download some high-quality player made maps right from in game.

But if you don't like working as a team to get objectives done and would rather just play deathmatch or team deathmatch, play another game. This game isn't for you. This game is, however, unique and entertaining in objectives. I could play a 6 map objective set all day.

Don't get me wrong, there ARE deathmatch, last man standing, etc. servers, there just aren't that many.

EDIT: Would someone play a game with me sometime? My teammates are annoying noobs that can't do anything right most of the time, and I don't like being the engineer and having to do EVERYTHING all of the time. They're fun sometimes, but if you do it for like 10 maps in a row in a 6 map rotation, it really bores you. But the thing is, if you don't, the noobs never repair the tank or plant the dynamite. I'll be a covert ops and we should arrange someone else to be the engineer. We'll win maps in like two minutes, rofl.

And ya. 10 maps straight with nub teammates, good for practicing fragging bad for obj :P

Oh, good god, there's nothing I hate more when I'm FORCED to be the engineer or the field ops, etc. because the random retarded noobs on my team cannot follow the objective whatsoever.

I'm dead serious, there are some games where we can easily plant the dynamite for literally 25 minutes and no one plants it, so I'm forced to next time.

What's worse is when they're like "HAHA NOOB you got 15-16 and I got 13-7."

Well guess what, random noobs who will not view this, MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE I DID THE OBJECTIVE.

Ya Tosh, People bitch at you like you are some scrub when all they did was go for frags. Whenever someone does that to me I go for frags next round, and usually end up like 60 and 15 in 20 mins (on etpub)

This one time this nub was on our TS trying to play a match with us, we were on Frostbite, and I was like... Go engy and plant main, so he went engy, but didnt plant main for like 2 minutes so eventually im screaming "plant the damn main" haha...

Anyone have a mic or TS or Vent server?
