I'm left-handed on guitar. They only make right-handed guitars for that game. Plus, it's nothing at all like playing a guitar. You hit like 5 different frets and do pinched harmonics without a bend or anything. DragonForce doesn't use the 5 lowest frets for the 6 strings. They use the wammy-bar, and petals, and tons of other cool sh*t and GH thinks they can put that on their game!? It's a cheap rip-off of playing guitar. No one should play that game. If you want to play guitar, BUY A GUITAR! Get some lessons too. If you can't afford lessons, teach yourself using tablature. Case closed, GH sucks, all people who have become gawdly at it are complete utter morons.

All of you like this kid need to shut the **** up. Honestly. For the 10 millionth time, WE DON'T CARE THAT IT ISN'T LIKE PLAYING A REAL GUITAR. I play guitar, and I play guitar hero. And you know what? I LIKE GUITAR HERO. It's a fun game, and no, not because it is like playing a guitar, but because it is a fun rhythm game based off of a guitar-like concept. No one gives a damn that real guitar is harder, I mean, ffs, most people who play have never touched a guitar, and therefore could care less. They enjoy a game. I don't know what the hell is so ****ing difficult to understand.

Saying all who are good at a videogame are morons is probably the most naive thing I've ever heard. Now I guess you'll say Shash is a moron because he's 'gawdly' at FFR, right? How the hell does that make sense?
Seriously, it's a videogame, not all players are like "I'm totally a professional guitar player now. Who wants to challenge me to a battle of the bands? I don't have a guitar yet but I could go get one soon! I could probably find someone to sponsor my awesome skills!"

People play it because it's fun. As said before, just look at DDR. EVERYONE who plays that knows it is nothing like actual dancing, so why are you saying people who play GH must not realize that real guitar is different?
DDR players don't want to be on "so you think you can dance?" and GH players (usually unless they actually ARE good at guitar which is possible) don't feel like they should be in a battle of the bands. Two completely different things, so they should not be connected.
Besides, a game should be rated on how fun it is, not on the attitude of the people who play it.

Cheers Guido for posting that comic. I was reading the whole thread hoping someone would post it before I finished. That comic has actually helped me out in an argument with people before as well lol. I was playing Jordan on hard and had like a 99% score at the end and my brother (who plays guitar) saw that I was really happy and said, "So? Try playing it on real guitar then". The idiot. As if 99% the song (and it's the song Jordan) made me think, "WOOAA OMG, I could totally play it IRL now".

I've had people say, "PLAY REAL GUITAR!" to me a few times and I've basically quoted that comic, just said it in my own way. It always works.



What? Most of the covers are better than the originals (Woman, Tonight I'm Gunna Rock You etc). Go compare them. There's a few that don't sound quite as good as the original but they are amazing covers. They're the best covers I've heard in fact. The only cover that I was a bit iffy about was Laid to Rest in GHII. The cover was amazing but the singer sounds off.

That's such a BS statement. I almost certain your trying to pick holes in the game with that. That or you haven't even played the game.

Um, guitar hero is one of my favorite games.
I have 3 songs left to get the log.
The cover singer of Free Bird is so terrible, it hurts to play that song.
I was saying that most covers in general suck. Not that all the covers in guitar hero sucks.

I don't like the fact that both of them have really ****ing long songs and I don't like the fact that GH1 is extremely ****ing easy. Well, they're both not that hard. Not too bad of a game, though. Fun at parties when you FINALLY GET A CHANCE TO PLAY.
