Rather than make my own thread I'm just going to post in this one. I'm buying a DS on Monday and I want to get at least 3 games with it. I am already going to order in a pokemon game, which is better, Diamond or Pearl (pokemon wise). Also, help me decide on two other games to get. I was leaning towards Advance Wars / Animal Crossing / Diddy Kong Racing / Children Of Mana / Super Mario DS / Yoshi's Island DS.

Three out of those is quite tough.

Most people get Diamond because the legendary in it looks cooler, but it's up to you.

From looking at the exclusive lists I'm torn between getting Diamond for Scizor / Rampardos / Dialga or Pearl for Salamence / Bastiodon.

Probably go for Diamond and just try to get those Pearl-exclusives through Wi-Fi.

EDIT: Oh, I don't think an american version of the game would work on a European DS, I think I have to wait until July. That sucks.

I bought New Super Mario Bros., Children of Mana, and Pokemon Pearl. I can't play any of them though because I'm waiting for my f'in DS. I bought Pearl 'cause I new the majority would buy Diamond, but I can care less. Pearl has more of the exclusives I want. I just want Larvitar from my friends Diamond.

I ordered CoM and Pokemon Diamond. Not sure about SMB, is it honestly much improved over the original?

Also, that's why you don't order a DS. I'm going to the store on Monday to get it there and then. £120 for Console + 1 Free Game + Essentials Pack (stylus, cleaners, protector screens etc) + AC Adaptor.

EDIT: Cheers for clearing that up Psychopete, and yes I would appreciate you trading me the pearl exclusives. I can trade the diamond ones in exchange or something if you want. Just wait until I get it and stuff and then we can swap friend codes.

Nice. Shouldn't take you long to beat the first gym so you can actually get your friend code. Now I just need to revive one of those armor fossils, get another Glameow, etc etc.

Shouldn't take long at all no. I have beaten Gold about 7-8 times and had around 10-15 level 100 pokemon total on it (long since gone, I think my most recent game has level 40'ish pokemon), so I'll be quick I'm sure.

Just as long as you don't start out with Chimchar, since (surprise) the first gym is a Rock gym.

Then you officially win.

And the penguin (Piplup) is basically only good for this gym, since the second gym is a freaking GRASS GYM, and the final gym is an Electric gym. No fire trainer until the Elite Four.
