However, as long as he posts, I may just leave him alone JUST because he's contributing to the thread.
Umm... if you think he's a wolf, the reasoning that he's contributing is a really lame reason to leave him alone, don't you think? Maybe that's not exactly what you mean to say, but it's not a good way to put things.

Re: TWG XXXIII - An Alien Invasion.

No I think I got it right. He put doubts into the plan and therefore was distracting (a wolf trait) for the rest of the thread. However just because he stood up and posted those thing doesn't make him a concrete wolf.

I should have said that he is the most wolfy person in my mind. But I still can't make a good choice because people want to sit back, therefore my biggest suspect, chardish, isn't the one I'm voting for because he's helping/contributing.

And maybe by following this logic, more wolves will want to post more, and therefore there are more chances for them to mess up somewhere.

      Is that any better?

This makes just as little sense as the last time you said it.

Obviously the wolves are not going to be handing over winning strategies to win our trust, but bare-bones minimum stuff to make it look like they care about the human's outcome without actually providing anything we can think up ourselves.

The same people are looking wolfy to me. Now that I can be on AIM, I'll talk around a bit before I make my vote.

Plus, we still havent seen posts from some people, the another half of you guys have posted, "Yea uh I agree with this here person." stuff and might as well not have posted anything at all.

So find me a wolf in amongst all those players and you'll have my respect..... otherwise, do something to get these guys talking either by voting for them or some other means.

That's all I'm saying by not voting chardish.

I very highly doubt that iggy would openly defend chardish if they were both wolves.

Re: TWG XXXIII - An Alien Invasion.

Being with so many new faces and personalities, this game is definitely a lot different from what I'm used to playing. My lack of activity has been more or a less a period to look at how certain people play, and honestly, I've yet to learn too much.

Based on what I've seen though, a few people appear more suspicious than others.

Chardish, Afro, and Blah seem to stand out most, followed by Inactive Fish, then Iggy.

First of all, my biggest suspicion is Chardish. Regardless of whether or not he was "glad" AP was killed on night one, (apparently a "good player" to most), he seemed to be the first to knock what (at the time), seemed like a decently solid plan in my mind, from Iggy.

I also thought that (until Nforcer's aim log post) he(chardish) had totally disregarded Blah's pointing finger as simply Blah being stupid. However, after seeing Blah and Nforcer's aim convo, I have to wonder if Chardish is really just disassociating himself from Afro and Blah's (His fellow wolves?) votes. Unless I'm way out in left field and Chardish doesn't defend himself (I don't know the guy well), I think that this is a reasonable thought to at least raise some suspicion.

Blah and Afro are pretty close to the same level as Chardish, based mainly on my aforementioned idea. Everyone seems to be poo-poo'ing the bandwagon vote afro made (apparently based on) the notion that Blah in fact IS simply joking. All three of these people are new players to me, and I may simply be getting hoodwinked, but Nforcer, someone who knows Blah at least better than I do specifically mentioned that his (blah's) playing style was completely weird compared to usual. Blah further confirms this by not denying it. Afro's vote has only received a few laughs if anything, and was completely overlooked. Was that the plan?

So after that whole Idea, (and I'm now assuming that the above idea isn't true), I have to admit that I've only played with Fish once yet it seemed that the instant he joined our jTWG, he was all about getting everyone revved up and talking. Others have also stated that an inactive fish is odd, which to me, should raise some questions if nothing else.

And last but not least, is Iggy. I never got to play with Iggy much in jTWG, as he was often wolfed night one, and with the amount of activity he has had in this game, I can see why. He does have some good ideas, but contrary to my suspicion of Chardish, I have to agree with him(chardish) on this one. Calling for an alliance on day one seems rather pushy. If the idea had come up during day 2 or 3, I could definitely see it as a human plea versus a wolfy tactic. It seems to me that Iggy is looking for a quick "in" to some alliance that, in my opinion, wouldn't be a very smart move for us this early in.

Oh, nforcer, if I suddenly get all hyperactive and stuff people will still go on about how my playing style changed and I should be a wolf.

Conclusion: One can get ****ed either way.

You do understand that this plan is void after today because the chances of a fake being pulled off is much, much higher right?

Doing this day 2 or 3 is really bad as the wolves may have found a few blues and will have wolfed them. Remember there was a 33% chance that a blue was seen last night by the wolves.... so who do you think will be wolfed tonight? See when the blues go down, having the night one seer pick sacriface himself to find blues becomes less and less advantageous and more and more risky.

Yes, the original post overlooked a few things as it was posted rather quickly. Seeing as you were last on my list of suspicion, the reason was bound to be flawed. However, in a normal game situation (which we clearly are not in) the idea would hold, IMO.

                          Current votes:
                          ddr: 2 (Jurs, iggy)
                          fish: 1 (Kilga)
                          blah: 1 (FFR)
                          MiniNeo: 1 (nforcer)
                          FFR: 1 (MiniNeo)
                          nforcer: 2 (blah, chardish)
                          chardish: 1 (Afro)

With a phantom vote against ddr, he's going to get lynched. Please note that there are 6 phantoms at this moment.

Re: TWG XXXIII - An Alien Invasion.

I'm wondering where all the sudden, random dumbassery is coming from. Afrobean with his 3-line posts that keep attacking me. Blah with his stupidity and his AIM conversation with Nforcer. Did people just sign up who didn't give a damn about the game?

Self-defense: I don't think that throwing doubt on Iggy's plan makes me a wolf. Iggy has come up with some corn-brained plans in the past (like "vote how I say or else you get lynched") so questioning his strategy isn't really a foolish thing to do.

Besides, I've been pushing against strategies that involve everyone coming out - both in game threads and in postgames - for a long time now. I prefer the classic strategies of analyzing the content of posts.

I would guess that one of Afrobean, Nforcer, or Blah is a wolf.

Iggy: I'm kind of inclined to think that Iggy is human because these behaviors (coming up with bad plans that involve people coming out, trying to be the alliance leader) are pretty characteristic of him - especially in TWG 30, which was another Tass-free game.

                                Oh, and Iggy:

Such would be the primary skill necessary to play TWG.

Afro: Being a general dumbass, and I don't know why. Are you that pissed that I banned you for 24 hours that you're going to pout in the corner and not play the game? Or is this some kind of newfound apathy to TWG? My first instinct would be that you're a wolf with crappy, inexperienced partners, but that's kind of overshadowed by my suspicions of Nforcer.

Kilga: More active on day 1 than he usually is. I don't know if this says anything or not.

MiniNeo: Very, very suspicious that he springs to life and throws a vote as soon as someone mentions his name.

Fish: I still agree that killing ap kind of reeks of rotten fish, but I'm not ready to throw a vote on someone who's not even posted yet.

FFR: Do you even have a strategy? At all?

Nforcer: I don't like the conversation between him and blah one bit. It sounds like he was putting the pressure on Blah way too hard for someone who's just being a dumbass. My guess is that Blah is human and Nforcer is a wolf, and Nforcer thought that producing that AIM convo would make him look more human.

                                My vote on nforcer stands.
