You should request a list or set of best songs from the musician and go from there in-mind of what you'd like to step yourself, since I'm pretty sure that for most people, this is the first time they're hearing of said artist and didn't have crosshairs set up to step anything from them to begin with.

Out of the 1665 permissions listed in the permission spreadsheet, we are using a little less than 900 separate music author's in-game with a released song, and another good chunk of that number are aliases or BMS musicians / part of a label whom fall under 1 permission but are associated with many different artist names. With the start of a new musician permission, the onus is on the obtainer to get a catalogue of music going, lest it get revisited in a few years from now when someone else reviews the spreadsheet looking for new content not from one of the authors they know.
