Toymaker is correct in that the repeating left arrow in the gif is an "anchor" but yea the patter is called runningmen. The more common form of anchors is the anchor jacks, shown in the picture below, taken from Aim Anthem:


In this case, the right arrow ([4]) is the anchor because both the [34] and [14] jumps are connected by that. It also works in patterns such as:

[13] 3 [23] 2 [24] 4 [34] 3 [34] 4 [14] 1 [12] and et cetera.

The single o's (represinting arrows) are connecting the double o's (representing jumps) directly above and below them
