FFR Standalone Guide

Thank you Tanya. Also, do the art cards you sell coincide with the enrichment guide? Anything else I should need?

I mean, I'm still using 9, but try to find someone else using Legacy engine and Win10 to compare
Whatever system Legacy is running on might not be self-adjusted for a newer OS? idk

Everything has worked, I've followed all the steps, I log on fine. I go to the Universal multiplayer screen, I can chat, but when I try to create a room or join one, the extra "game" window is not popping up. Any thoughts?

I'm having trouble getting anything to run smoothly on my new rig with 10. I'm considering keeping this old beater for the official, as I can actually hit perfects on 50s with it. Does it have a similar aero setting as 7, and how can I turn it off?

Disabling translucent glass won't help much at all but here

Have you tried not using the standalone, and instead using a direct link to the .swf inside of Chrome? I was having similar frustrations with the standalone flash player and not getting any good framerate, but the moment that I switched to Chrome, all of my frame issues stopped.

I use Flash 21 on Chrome, if that matters any.

This works great. I just have to remember to close Skype and mIRC, as I get a hiccup whenever a new message comes in. Thanks, man. Got some new bests on low 80s, though there's a new 67 with 4-0-1-2 that's giving me fits. I'll need to FC with 7 or better, and that's rough with the bursts.

Flash 9 10 and 11 all run like garbage, 11 12 and 16 have the same performance, 13 14 and 15 won't open at all for me.

I'm on windows 10 on a new computer i got this year and i pretty much haven't played ffr at all since i got it due to performance issues on these flash players. 11 12 and 16 all run smooth very very smooth for a little bit and then it looks as though the frames drop at regular intervals, like it's smooth for 15 seconds, then choppy for 15 seconds. I can play under these conditions, but it's not pleasant to look at, and it also makes it harder to score.

I'm currently using Win10 + FP12 with OBS always in the background to get the most optimal gameplay I can achieve if you want to give that a shot but honestly I just think Flash isn't cooperating with anyone lately :/

i tried out 19 20 21 and 22 just now i get the same results as 16 etc. I want to play ffr again a little, but not badly enough to plug in my old computer to play it :\

i think it's just windows 10 in general is too new for ffr?

I'm having the same probs as everyone else above mentioned. the reason I haven't been around in forever is because I just cant get the game to run well anymore. no matter what I try, nothing is playable.

Currently using Flash 9 with 0/0 offsets and it never lags
If I need rates I use Flash 14 with 1/0 offsets, only minimal FPS/frame drops but they'll show up every now and then

Re: FFR Standalone!

I think it's just time for me to give up on FFR. This game needs a complete rewrite in something that's not damn flash. Tried every standalone. Tried every browser. Tried HW accel on, off, doesn't matter. Some games it's perfectly smooth. Some it stutters like crazy. In Chrome to "prevent" stuttering, it'll just lock the framerate at something god awful like 15.

I should have no trouble playing this game. Why can I play The Witcher 3 at max settings at 1080p at 4 times the framerate?

This game is some serious nostalgia for me, and I want to come back to play it occasionally, but there's just no way I can even try to improve my skills at this point.

For reference...
Windows 10 x64
16gb memory
i5 6600k cpu
r9 390 gpu

Your computer is only slightly weaker than mine (same x64 and ram and i5) so I don't see why you get lag and I get no lag whatsoever
