~Spring 2013 Moderator Sign-ups~ We are quickly approaching the end of this current year and do you know what that means? Yes, the start of a new one! And with that said, I’d like to start off the year with a fresh set of moderators. Why? To give you guys the opportunity to get involved and to show Team Blaze your team spirit! Term Lengths: Term lengths are going to be half a year. So Janurary 1st – June 31st for the Spring terms and July1st – December 31st for the Autumn terms. Moderators may re-run as many times as they please. Anyways, I’m looking for moderators to do specific tasks, as opposed to a group of people that are vaguely “moderating” and don’t know what to do. Remember, we are a team however, so sometimes you moderators may need to help one another out and fill in for each other from time to time. The moderator positions I’m looking for: Team Thread Moderator: Moderate the thread and edit posts under the Team Blaze account when needed. Skype Room Chat Moderator: Kick people, add people, edit/delete messages, etc when needed. New Member Welcomer and Spreadsheet Updater: Promptly welcome new members that join the team and add their info to the spreadsheet. Also, edit the spreadsheet for when current users wish to edit their information in there. PM Sender: Send team-wide pm’s to team members when asked to do so. I will love you forever if you choose this position and will do any sexual favors that you ask of me ;w; Graphic Artist: I like to play with Photoshop but I hardly have the time or lack the motivation to finish things myself sometimes so I’d be nice to have someone assigned to this position :) Engine Moderator: Justin already has this taken care of, I’ll ask him if he needs any assistance, otherwise this position is closed. Sandwich Maker: That’s right, you make me sandwiches, letting you know in advance, I like whole wheat bread. Other: If you think you can help in some other way, let us know! :D NOTE: Some positions I may assign more than one person to. How to sign-up: You must first meet these requirements: -Be a Team Blaze member before this post was made Then you must send me (reuben_tate) a PM with the answers to these questions before 12/25/2012 at 12:01 am server time: 1) What moderator position are you applying for? 2) What is your main motivation to becoming a moderator? 3) What qualities do you have that would make you an appropriate candidate for your position? 4) How do you think (a) the community views you? (b) the team views you? (c) the skype chat room views you? 5) When are you available online in general? 6) Describe a personal experience of yours (preferably related to FFR community) that emphasizes at least one of the following: leadership, teamwork, perseverance, appropriate tolerance levels, patience, or humility. 7) If I asked you to make me a sandwich, which bread would you use? (Serious question, if you don’t answer this, I won’t accept your application) Depending on the position that you choose, I may ask you more follow-up questions afterwards via PM. After the submissions are closed, I’ll review the submissions, ask any follow-up questions, and will have the results posted on New Years Day (I can’t promise right at midnight though :P) If you want, you may post in this thread saying which position you applied for, just to have people possibly reconsider their choice of position if a million other people already chose it. |

Re-applying for Skype chat mod and spreadsheet updater. I don't need to be an official greeter for the team or anything but I'm more than happy to continue keeping things up to date.
In terms of me being around in the skype room, school is ending and aside from work I'll be relatively free, so I will most definitely be around in calls more often. Just in case anyone was worried about my lack of presence lately. Been SUPER swamped. (ask Bridget) |

@pop: Got your submission, thanks! :) @Justin: New moderator terms start on Janurary 1st, so don't worry about not being around too often at the moment. Although, I school is going to start back up again, so I'm hoping your classes don't kill you right from the start of the semester >.< @Charu: Got your submission! And don't worry about the current people in the chat that have additional powers, I'll be reviewing the members of each chat room that the team has and I'll be removing powers from the appropriate people if they haven't applied for a moderator position. @Justin: Got your submission and thanks for letting me know about the engine, I'll update the newspost. |

Hello Team Blaze! This is Middie typing to you all the way from his bedroom at 2:26AM in the morning to give you all a slight update! Sadly I'm rather dumb and dun got myself banned. So this post is actually being made by Ben, our fearless penguin assault team leader. Listen to thy leader. Listeeeeeeeen Anyways nonsense aside: I've updated posts 2 and 3 of the thread (Updates / announcements) and added a new event. The next upcoming event is a Team Blaze Staff ran New Years Tourney. As it appears right now, Zakvvv666 and myself (Xx{Midnight}xX) will be your hosts. But since details have yet to be discussed completely... This is all I can tell you. For now. There will be more details posted soon about this event. Look forward to it. Also as a side note, a fellow Team Blaze member, TC_Halogen has begun his tournament. As such, there's a lot of our members in the tourney so cheer them on! The following members are currently in the tourney by their respective divisions: This list will be found in the 3rd post of this thread, and will be kept up to date with colors of Blue for still alive and Red for when they are eliminated. And just an update on the moderator applications, I've received a total of 8 applications so far, thanks for the submissions guys! For anyone who hasn't submitted yet, it's not too late to submit and we some positions could use more than one person, such as the chat and thread moderators, since no one person can monitor it all day :P
P.S. And to all those that posted that said they sent an application, I just wanted to also confirm that I got them :) |
