Ouch.

My feet hurt.

What do you guys do when your feet hurt?

I know that people like Archb0wl didn't master the game in one day.

Warm water? Rub your feet? I wanna know the secret >_<

LOL, this happens all the time to me.
I have flat feet (meaning I really should not be playng DDR at all)
I play for like 30 minutes at a time.
Don't over do it all at once.
I have a foot massaging bubble bath thingy that I use.
I'd recommend really just rubbing your feet with warm water and stay off the DDR for a while untill they feel better.

i recommend sitting down..... i know the concept of getting off your feet while the hurt is ludacris.... but if you want to be a rebel about stuff and rebel against the "original way of doing things", like foot masages and stuff(who does that), you should just sit down and watch t.v. or something

my feet hurt all the time after playing ddr; i have really bad ankles.

i wear those elastic braces that are like really tough socks without toes, but it doesn't work.

i just stop playing and try not to walk anymore

and last thing which is unrelated: i've finally given in and started posting on the forums; this is my first

I've tried just not playing.

It doesn't work. I'll play one round(3 songs) of DDR and my feet hurt like crazy again.

I'll try the bubble bath...

Er..

Bubbles...need some bubbles...

yeah, finally
it wasn't nearly as scary as i thought it would be

and, so i'm not tally off the subject, ddr + playing a lot = less person in the physical sense

About a week break. I played 3 songs and felt really tired.

I played one more round and couldn't pick up my feet.

1 play without shoes. this is the way people were ment to walk/run. It lessens impact on the more sensitive areas of your feet. Alot of shoes have bad cushining (too much or not enough) that mess with the arches of your feet. I know my old adidas have too much cushining, and I had foot problems. Getting another pair and staying out of shoes solved it.

2 get in shape. This doesn't mean that you have to run a 5 minute mile, just start doing some exercises and stretching with your feet and legs.

3 make sure you're landing right. Don't land on your heels, try to land on the front of your foot, then heels.

this oughta help. of course, massages and resting helps too, but getting in shape helps more than that.

Thanks. I'll try playing bearfoot more.

Do you play bearfoot at the arcade too?

Anyway, I'm pretty much already in shape. I run about a 6 minute mile ect ect. Not enough ladies here to really show off on purpose ;)

OK i have an easy and simple solution for this one....

1. Dont STOMP on the pads, put just enough pressure on them so that the game responds to your action.

2. Use less body weight, you wont be as tired afterwards.

no...but still you really have to move sometimes.

Or, at least, that's what i've experienced

I stomp, and I suck, but I can do some of Tsugaru In my mind.

I could get like halfway or so.

Tsugaru's pretty easy once you get good at your gallops and are able to react to the arrows

doing anything for three hours makes you hurt. DDR is no exception.
