I used to be fat and lazy(ok i only weighed like 150, but that isn't the point!) DDR is a fun way (in my opinion) to loose weight.

There's a school in California (I believe that's the right state) that uses DDR once a week during gym, and games are $0.25 during lunch and afterschool. It's the only way they could get kids to excercise and get in shape. i think it's a great investment if your school system has the money. Mine unfortunately, never will. Thank god for PS2 and college. :)

Amen to that brother.
Yeah well if you found the poorest school in the world we would probably be poorer. lol. ok we aren't that poor but still we are pretty poor.

LOL, better than an attack by the mormon choir.
mormons are silly.
Anyhow, DDR is great for losing weight. I must agree.
I used to weigh 190 pounds back in december.
Now it's almost may and I weigh 171 pounds! YAY!!!!!No need to diet, screw that. Hold on, school in Californy that uses DDR to lose weight?
I heard of a health club for over weight kids in CA that uses DDR.

DDR... you really don't move much when playing it.
I'm 5' 6'' maybe a bit more, and 116 pounds. But then again I'm varsity cross country :P (buff, babay, oh yeah 8) )

Yeah i'm like 6' 1" and i weigh like 135 now. But you know some of that wieght loss could've been from Marching Band. Ah yes...Marching Band is the coolest. Especially the LCM Marching Band. WE RULE!!! Anyway I think that alot of games have little brainwashing systems in them because I am adicted to alot of games. I think that is how the government earns its money.
I am having to wait like 2 weeks to send off for my DDR pads for PS2!!!! It sucks!!! Of course that may have something to do with the 2 C's i made on my last Report Card... 8) I dunno...maybe. But anyway now I have to come out of the last Report Card with all A's. I think i can. I think i can. I think i can. I think i can. Well, on that note, I have to go study.

My weight is both in fat AND muscle....
I'm not acually *fat* per se, just a little bit fat. I could kick your asses though.
I have NO stamina (record mile is 8:14, average is [this year] about 9:30), but I can run the shuttle run in about 9.9 seconds in relatively slippery shoes (slidy, I guess). Meaning: I can sprint, but not anything else. I guess I can do FAH, situps, and the like too. V-sit, not since 4th grade....
Pushups neither. I guess that was a bit off subject.

Oh, good Lord. You're in marching band? That is like the newest form of Nazism today. Walking in straight lines, speaking a language no one else understands, going to nazi camp. Etc. Etc.
Trumpets suck.
Anyhow, Have you all heard that there is a health club in Hawaii that helps ppl lose weight by using DDR machines? Actually...ppl have their own mats and they come with them to class and just play DDR.
It's cool!!!!

We aren't the kind of marching band that marches in straight lines. We make formations and stuff.
I would've written more but i am way too tired.

you should all ddr as opposed to marching :!: :!: :!: . so you all just step forward bck left and right, and play your instruments at the same time!
that would really rock!

i dont actually play ddr much, but i do watch my friends play. i feel like i lose five pounds every time just from watching, unfortunately it doesnt work that way. my friend is like 6' something and weighs like 110 or so, which is sad since im 5'1" and i weigh 128. yeah so playing too much ddr can be freakishly unhealthy...altho i should play a little more i think, but i feel stupid going after those of u who have mastered the art of rhythm

Heh. Amusing story. You know, many people don't get to play DDR much due to the lack of machines around America. When you see one, get on it if noone else is on it! If there's already one person on the machine, get on there, put your tokens or coins in and start dancing along in the next game! It's not bad to have fun, even if you aren't the best at DDR. It's fun to just practice. Don't take it too seriously. Concentrate on the music, think of it as you're actually dancing.

I'm 5 flat and I'm only 86 pounds! Who's good? ...not me. i play WAYYYYYYYYYY too much ddr. i dont lose weight, its just that iit makes me not gain any. theres a machine about a minute away, so i go alot. so deep is a great workout, with all the gallops and such. i lose TONS trying maxx, because its really hard and fast and i have way too many body motions and i get really tired. last time i went i was about 7 seconds away from the end and i gave up with about half of my health left because it felt like my legs were gonna give way. same story with max300. tsugaru is fun, and i usually get around a 12-person crowd for it. im popular =0)

I need to DDR more, so I don't get fat. It's almost the only way I exercise anymore aside from my almost-daily walk.

aiyaiyaiy i can't (and don't want to) believe it. i just checked out a scale and found that since summer started i....have.....gained....20POUNDS!!!!! i feel so so depressed. before school let out i weighed in at 125 now i weigh about 145lbs  i feel so depressed  . i need to start playing my ddr max game at home a lot more. (of course most of the reason i don'e gain weight in the school year probably contributes to the fact that i don't eat any lunch......nah) well i'm bringing back my old thread so watch out america  .

Anyways, I think DDR for X-Box will involve FAR more excersize than on the PS2 or a machine. I mean, knowing X-Box, the pad would take up your ****ing living room.

I rarely play DDR, and I've still seen results
Of course it's in the form of maintaining weight despite eating like a pig
Maybe if I play more often I'll get under the 200 mark

Hey Ive read the Ender quartet!
tnyhwk900
July 23rd, 2003, 07:11 PM
Wait... theres 4 books? I've only seen and read (and loved) two, Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. What are the others?
Anonymous
July 24th, 2003, 11:11 AM
The first 4 are about Andrew himself and are:
1. Ender's Game
2. Speaker For The Dead
3. Xenocide
4. Children of the Mind
And their are two books about Bean
1. Ender's shadow
2. Shadow of the Hegemon
I think thats all the books in the Ender series.
PS. Alot of people that liked Enders Game hated Speaker for the Dead and the other books that star ender, but those people like the books about Bean.

I'm 5'10 and 175. Fat, right? Nope, 32 inch waist. I owe it to my near $200 playing DDR at local arcades. However, today I pick up DDR for for PS2 with 2 nice Red Octane Pads. It'll save in the long run.
G'Day.
